ok im gonna ramble about my slice of life "everything is fine" demonkicks thoughts

dakota is really impulsive and i think when he falls in love with ashe he sets his heart on that relationship. and i think ashe has never been in love before, so like four months in when dakota says "when we turn 18 we're gonna get married" ashe is like, yeah that makes sense. yes.

i like to think there's this convenient clearing in the woods near centurion high and they go there to have picnics and just spend time together. dakota just likes being in the woods cuz he's like that. ashe thinks the flowers are pretty and likes the sun

and when ashe turned 18 he didn't really think too hard about what dakota had said. he didn't remember, he thought it was Dakota Banter. but like a few days after his birthday he goes to that clearing to meet up with dakota and dakota built like an entire wooden gazebo from scratch to propose on. because he's just like that.

like, maybe a few months before that dakota planted a shit ton of flowers in a Weird Layout in that clearing and Again. Ashe was like "yeah whatever. he's dakota." but dakota had planned it so that the flowers would bloom around ashe's birthday and it all came together to be this dramatic grand gesture that dakota had been planning for months because he is DEAD SET on marrying ashe winters.

- their first date is to a little underground concert in new haven. william found the flyer and he, dakota, vyncent, and ashe went as a group. they separated off like 15 minutes in and it became an accidental date

- ashe puts his beanie on dakota sometimes. it flusters him a lot.

- dakota does the same with his bandana to the same effect. maybe moreso. ashe hides his face in his hands whenever dakota puts the bandana on him

- if dakota gets overloaded he plays this playlist ashe made for him as loud as possible in his headphones. sounds bad. except my sounds.

- sitting in the same room doing completely different things. ashe on the bed playing video games and dakota making friendship bracelets for william and vyncent on the floor.

as for specific headcanons oh you fucking bet dakota parades ashe around on his shoulders and piggybacks him anywhere he wants to go he LOVES that boy and Lifting him .. speaking of, chronically ill ashe is canon i’m sorry i don’t make the rules he bones don’t work so well so dakota is always tryna make shit easier for ashe, like carrying him around when it gets to hard to walk nd giving him neck and shoulder massages to help with his slouching pain.
