"Demon Chic" tells the story of Gary Starling, his boyfriend Ashok, and Ashok's brother Devraj -- they live together and just try to have normal lives but are constantly interrupted by their various hallucinations. The game uses a mixture of the formal tropes of video games and sitcoms to frame the characters' daily lives and internal struggles, as the game alternates between a JRPG-ish mode (with comic-book-style art and action-RPG battles) and an assortment of surreal interludes in wildly varying art/interaction styles that reflect the characters' internal feelings, dreams, and fears.
