Harrison had been alone for thousands of years. His entire life was lived in black and white, he’d grown to accept that maybe he didn’t have a soulmate.

It made things easy. He was stone cold, there was no one to make him soft. His service to the king was top priority.

But then he met you, bumped into you on a mission on earth, and his world burst into colour. It hurt his eyes and made his head spin and he could tell it made you feel the same.

Harrison knew if before you told him, you were an angel. The two of you were from different realms. Opposites

North and south.

Up and down.

Heaven and Hell.

“Haz we can’t keep doing this” His arms wrap tight around your torso and yours around his shoulders as he buries his face into your neck.

“I know, I just need to see you” He pulls away but his arms stay wrapped around you.

“I know. They’ll do bad things to you down there though. It won’t be long until they find out about us, then we’ll both be doomed” You push a couple stray curls back and rest your hand on his cheek, his eyes close for a moment, relishing in your touch.

“Fuck them. I only need you. I love you. You’re the only thing heaven ever did right, my love”

Your heart jumps at his confession. You know you love him too, but this may be the last time you see him. Then again, that’s what you’d told yourself last time, and the time before that. Even still, is it worth saying?

You could hear the laughing and giggling before you even entered the room. You heaved open one of the heavy doors. Tom, Harrison, and Harry were all facing away from you, Harrison had just pushed Harry and now he’s doing the same in return, pushing him into Tom who only laughed.

“I asked you to do one thing” You shouted and they all stopped immediately, facing the throne, their hands clasped in front of them. The room was silent except for the clicking of your heels off the floor. You stopped in front of them. “One thing. One simple thing. And you couldn’t even do that?”

The three boys stood silent, staring down at their feet. You were terrifying when you got angry, it didn’t happen often but when it did, it made some of the most powerful demons run for the hills.

“Tom, what were you supposed to do?” You voice was soft and sweet now, only making them more scared, you swear you saw Harry shaking. Tom opened and closed his mouth a few times. You crossed your arms and tapped your foot impatiently. “I’m waiting”

“We were- we” he stuttered out, “We we’re supposed to retrieve the human”

“Harrison, why didn’t you?”

“We were caught, your majesty”

“And why were you caught, Harry?” You were shouting again, you jaw clenched as you waited for a response.

“We were screwing around?” He says it like a question, his voice small and timid.

He knew what would happen. He knew the consequences. He was perfectly aware that this was illegal.

But with your lips against his, hands entangled in his hair, he couldn’t care less.

The law was hardly even an after thought.

You were far too good for him. Far too innocent to be with someone like him. Too good to be true. So he had to take advantage of the little amount of time he could.

He was in love with you.

And love is dangerous.

Especially when demons are involved.

When he was called by the King, he knew what was bound to happen. He could only hide his love for you so long, and he’d do anything to keep you safe.

“Osterfield, you know the consequences. I can’t just let this slide”

Harrison nodded. His mind running through memories of you, his favourite moments of his many thousand years of life. He wanted to say goodbye but knew he couldn’t, or else something might happen to you.
