all of these guys are related to miranna’s storyline ;

OSIRA KAST was miranna’s most trusted lieutenant .   a young woman from a heavily forested planet on the outer rim , she was conscripted into the imperial navy at 18 , in 10 bby .   she was hot - headed , short - tempered , and the very opposite of someone that takes orders well .   barely a year into her service , her insubordination left her nearly at the point of court marshal when she met miranna .   the thirty - five - year - old commodore plucked her from official discipline , seeing something in the fiery young woman ; a potential for something greater .   though miranna herself was never so insubordinate   ( not so much knowing her place , but rather , knowing the best way to make that place somewhere that she didn’t need to follow other’s orders in the first place )   what she saw in the young woman was that they were made of the same material , two people cut from the same cloth .   miranna took osira under her wing , and with a little careful maneuvering , had her promoted to lieutenant , and made her personal aide .   it took time , of course , for the two to build the necessary trust in each other , but from this point on , osira is perpetually at miranna’s side ; her aide , her lieutenant , and as close to a friend as a subordinate can be .   from the onset , it was miranna’s intent to groom osira for future leadership , she has high hopes for the younger woman , and intends for those hopes to come to fruition .

ARES CRANE was the commander of the TIE squadrons upon the medusa .   twenty - five when miranna was made captain of the medusa , replacing the previous captain , a man who ares had been unquestionably loyal to   ━━━   despite the charges of treason that had caused the man’s departure in the first place .   he is the quintessential cocky pilot , a leader in his own right , and confident in his abilities .   upon first meeting with miranna , he made his displeasure at her appointment known   ━━━   knowing enough about the constant backstabbing and betrayal that existed in the empire to want to believe that she was responsible for the previous captain’s court marshal .   it was , of course , and incorrect belief , but one borne of loyalty ; not truly genuine , but rather something he wanted to believe .   he grows to trust her leadership , however , to trust the woman herself in her vision , and in the genuine care she has for her crew .   with time , he becomes one of her most trusted lieutenants , forming a triumvirate with miranna and osira .

this   is   probably   such   an   #unpopular   opinion   but   i   think   that   if   aphra   actually   met   padme   she’d   be   enamored   with   her   ,   in   a   similar   way   to   how   she’s   enamored   with   vader   .      i   think   i’ve   already   talked   about   how   aphra’s   “daddy   issues”      (   parent    issues   ,   really   )      relate   to   why   she’s   so   drawn   to   vader   ,   but   she   very   similarly   has   ,   for   lack   of   a  better   word   ,   “mommy   issues”   .      her   mother   was   a   kind   ,   soft   woman   ,   but   FLIGHTY   and   idealistic   ,   and   aphra’s   home   life   was   unstable   ;   she   wants   order   and   stability   ,   certainty   in   her   life   ,   and   she   believed   that   she   could   get   that   working   for   vader   .      aphra  professed   ,   once   ,   that   she   hated   the   very   idea   of   padme   ,   but   she   never   got   to   see   the   strength   inherent   to   padme   .      she’s   exactly   what   aphra   wants   ,   with   the   addition   of   being   good   ,   of   being   KIND   .      vader   was   ,   to   her   ,   in   the   role   of   father   ,   while   padme   would   absolutely   take   the   maternal   role   in   aphra’s   mind   .
