Can we take a second to talk about the reveal that Demios was Miranda Barma all along? Because I feel like everybody overlooks this moment, and I really think it’s genius.
Miranda traumatized and manipulated Vincent to the point where her influence became a part of him. Vincent himself becomes the manipulator, the person who causes others pain for his own means. But he can’t bring himself to face this truth. He can’t bring himself to confront the idea that Miranda might still hold sway over his life and choices. He has never been able to heal those emotional scars, but admitting that to himself would be absolutely unbearable.
We see Vincent use Demios to hurt others, time and time again. We see Vincent lose control of Demios whenever something happens that triggers memories of his past. It’s also worth noting that unlike Dormouse, Demios is illegally contracted to Vincent. If Vincent weren’t a Baskerville, Demios would be very slowly and directly killing him.
Why is this relevant? Because the significance of the Demios = Miranda reveal is not literal, but metaphorical. It represents Vincent’s inability to escape from his past and his inner demons, even as he continues to deny that they control him. He has not only been carrying the burden of a Chain, but the burden of his actual abuser with him this entire time.
As Oswald put it, “You are still bound by that woman’s curse.”

Infiltrating the Cult of Kosmos. Alexios masked up and I had the opportunity to take some cool shots. It’s cool to see how Kassandra and Alexios are integrated in each other’s stories. Demios, The Chosen One, is Kassandra in my game. God, what a presence, she is so overpowered for now! It’s great to discover a new piece of Eden!
