MY THOUGHTS ARE YES
After all the crap he’s ben through and all the times he’s been manipulated and lied to and taken advantage of, he just can’t just trust someone enough to be at his most vulnerable with them until he really knows them.Â
Or maybe he was always demi, and always needed to have a connection with someone before he could really want to be with them. Dean would describe girls as hot or sexy, and Sam would be confused because a nice body wasn’t all it took, for him to be interested.
Maybe he fluctuates between demi and totally asexual, and sometimes he just doesn’t want sex at all, even with someone he loves. Or sometimes he craves intimacy with his partner desperately, because it’s grounding and reassuring and reminds him that he’s cared about and loved, and it’s not just about sex at all.
