Sekido looked down at the boar headed slayer as they stood on the porting docks near the Sea of Japan or East Sea. The demon growled grabbing the human by his arm before hissing in a venomous fury. βLetβs see if you drown like the pig you are squealing.β The Upper Moon was annoyed by the human for ruining his kimono. The clones had come to see a trader to get some flowers from the west for their master but this slayer came from nowhere. The package was lost to the oceansβ depths so he was going to make sure the brat suffered the same fate. - @demcnsden
This place was driving Inosuke to insanity.
He had never seen that much water. He didn't think it was possible for this sort of landscape to ever exist. The crow had taken him far from the mountains he was familiar with, towards flatter lands where he had done a quick job at dispatching the demon... until he had felt another one nearby.
A much, much more powerful one.
He ignored the crow's warning squeaks and headed further into the city, causing quite the uproar amongst the crowds. Some confused merchants dropped their wares, the panic spreading to the docks, precious goods tossed into the ocean. The demon - or was there more than one ? - had to be nearby.
Inosuke had his swords drawn out, ready to slice at the offending figure, when he saw it. That immense, endless stretch of water, pitch dark in the faint moonlight.
It was the scariest thing Inosuke had ever seen.
He failed to feel the demon approach, his heart skipping a beat at the iron grip closed around his arm.
"LET GO OF ME, YOU-"
The curses died in his throat. Terror drummed at his ears, his frantic heartbeat covering the city's noise. He could only hear one other noise, the crashing of the waves against the wooden dock's pillars, like a predator grinding its teeth before a good meal.
