synopsis:Jyugo comes to you, afraid of what will happen to you and his friends if he decides to stay. So you reassure him that you guys will be okay !! reader has an air togabito !!
The bright moon and stars lit up your cell, yet that wasn't the reason you were still up. You had been thinking about Jyugo, he had been acting strange lately. Especially with all that happened at the tournament. When he was taken to the medical bay you worried for him because you were unable to get to him. Even after that, you couldn't talk to anyone in block 13. The whole time you had no way of knowing if Jyugo was even alive, and you were afraid for him. Scared that you would never hear him talk, never see his smile, never see him again.
That fear stayed in your body until the next night, when Jyugo suddenly appeared in front of your cell. He stepped into your cell and immediately dropped down to his knees, his forehead touching the floor. Strings of apologies fell out of his mouth, your heart broke a bit seeing him this way. You saw no reason for him to be apologetic about this. Especially because you know why it was such a big deal for him to get that info from Musashi.
It was apparent that he felt awful for not telling you anything, he never was the biggest talker but that never meant he'd purposefully leave you in the dark. No matter how hard you tried there really wasn't any way to convince him that it was okay. He filled you in on all that happened the past few days, not being shocked when he tells you he was almost switched to a different block. Once he's finished telling you all that happened he retreats back to his building before he gets his ass beat again. You wish him a goodnight and give him a hug
You and Jyugo had known each other for a while now, the two of you first met at a prison back in the states. Since then you both escaped together each time. Both of you were sent to Nanba prison together, you being sent due to being so close to Jyugo. They thought you might be as dangerous as him. You were also there when those shackles were placed on him, the screams were bone-chilling, it made you sick to your stomach. Maybe that's why you two were so close, bonding through the trauma you endured.
He appears in your cell again around midnight, his eyes wide, filled with fear, his chest heaving up and down. Jyugo looked like utter hell. Like he had seen the devil himself. He plops down right next to you on the floor. "Jyugo, are you okay? The hell happened to you?" You carefully place your hand on his and turn to face him. Examining his body, trying to find clues on what could have made him this way.
It doesn't take long before he spills what was bothering him. He mentioned that the man with the scar was going to come back for you and his friends. You could hear his heart beat pick up when he told you what they said about you. It didn't scare you though, you were well aware of what they would do if they got their hands on you or the other's.
This was something that was really bothering him though, he told you he needed to leave, so he could protect all of you. There was a possibility they would stay true to their word, but for now all you could do is hold him tight, brushing your fingers through his hair and placing small kisses along his hairline. You couldn't promise that they wouldn't come back but you did promise that you'd help him fight for everything.
Happy that you were able to get through to your boyfriend the other night, you sleep peacefully tonight. That peaceful sleep was interrupted by the sound of hushed voices and quiet giggling. You open your eyes, looking at your cell door and finding all of cell 13 standing there. "what are all of you doing out!?" you yell in a whisper, trying to figure out why they were all even out in the first place.
"We wanted to include you in one of our infamous breakouts!"
Uno exclaims, talking about their breakout like it was a simple work out routine. The cell door squeaks open and they all stand there waiting for you excitedly, but Jyugo looks different . . . something about him was off and you could feel it. Just to keep an eye on him you decide to go with them. You run behind them, staying close to your boyfriend the whole time and watching all of his movements.
You run through maze-like halls, jump over huge gaps, and avoid getting killed by alligators. All of that to end up at the exit of Nanba prison. The sight of it makes your stomach drop, you feel like something big is about to happen. It feels like a dead weight drops onto your shoulders. Jyugo unlocks the door on his first try.
Something doesn't feel right.
It opens and the bars raise, showcasing a pissed off Hajime who stands in front of you. Everyone goes silent, this is usually the part where they turn back and call it a night. Not this night though. Jyugo crosses through the door, locking it so none of you can stop him from the idiotic thing he's about to do. You pound your hands on the bars, trying to get his attention.
"JYUGO! Don't you dare do what you're about to do. You can't solve anything by doing this!"
He stops in his tracks, rethinking his decisions. He doesn't care though, of course he'll miss all of you. But he needs to make sure that he keeps all of you safe. You watch helplessly as Hajime and Jyugo begin their match, wishing that there was anything you could do. Seitarou stands beside you and the others, you beg him to open the door and let you try to help.
"We can stop this! You just have to let us out, please Seitarou!"
"I can't do it Y/N, you'll get time added onto your sentences and—"
You punch the steel bars, the sound ringing in your ears. "I don't give a damn about my fucking sentence! Let me go out there and help him." Against his better judgement he lets you out. The four of you run to Jyugo's aid. His swords are drawn and you can tell he's about to strike Hajime. You focus your energy, a burst of wind from your palm. The force of air pushes Jyugo, knocking him onto his back and stunning him.
Hajime still wasn't done though, he was determined to keep his word of ending Jyugo. You jump in the air, your body spinning in circles and creating a small tornado. You launch your attack at Hajime, sending him flying across the ground. Satisfied with the work you've done to stop the two, you run over to Jyugo. His tired form still sprawled across the cement.
"You're such an idiot, I told you not to do that and you didn't listen." He raises a hand up to your face, wiping away the tears you didn't realize you were even shedding. A small smile formed on his lips. He would fight Hajime over and over if it meant saving you. While he's lost in his thoughts about you, it almost tunes out the four of you yelling at him for being so careless with his life. Moments like this make him realize what exactly he's fighting for
