★ Monochromatic pipes aligned themselves with the newly made sculpture in the middle of town. A square brimming with people made the light click of heels and brushing sneakers a habitual background noise for a barmaid walking through the streets. It was a summer day late in the evening. The wind was warm and her cheeks lightly colored in a short jog past buildings she would later not recall in her memory. Tifa often thought during these walks through town, but a tedious visit to the store would not give her the answers she was looking for today.
A stroke of the hand in her hair and worried look upon that furrowed brow gave it all away. She was normally so calm. But flick of the wrist when she locked up 7th Heaven early also made her drop the keys on the ground. She was restless.
It was when Marlene didn’t tell her she was leaving, that was when she worried.
Dusk gave sun chance to kiss the building glass. Her time was passing faster than she wanted. But the crash There was a rush, whirring noise in her head as her steps quickened and a familiar face briefly passed over her vision. “Vincent?” She called out, almost breathless.
