As he washed away the filth from his rough hands, there was a chill in the air, the kind one experiences in altitudes far beyond what would sustain life. So too came the familiar scent of raw oxygen and ionizing radiation that he had come very familiar with in his flights this past year. But what was most alarming was the presence. And the voices that seemed to be one too many for his present company. As he turned now to witness the newly summoned Voidwalker, a sudden dreadful fear swept over the man. His time in Netherstorm and what he had experienced being lost in The Great Dark Beyond had done a great harm to his mind. What would surely be a commonplace and mundane task for Safrona was instead a painfully triggering experience for Ruzzell. He was silent. His voice could not be allowed to make a sound, for fear that those burning white lights that make up her minion's eyes would fall upon him. Instead, a shakey hand would reach for a large kitchen knife, trembling as he speared it outwards, his other hand gripping the edge of his sink tight in a desperate attempt at finding some security. Eyes on the verge of crying, he never looked away from her creature as it helped carry her parcels.
The amorphous void form continued to move, sinewy fabrications of muscle manifesting where it may be needed to lift the heavy crate taken from the portal. All the while, it's white hot eyes stared with a silent, overbearing stare on a near catatonic little mortal that fell into himself at its mere presence. It had done nothing to threaten the goblin - this had not been the designated command when its mistress called it into being, after all.
And yet Mr. Goldgrin trembled as if it had raked its claws into his flesh, sown the dread of the Unknowable Dark into his very soul. The crate was gently placed on the floor, but those terrible white optics never left the fearful eyes that stared into them. Those eyes were the white light of decimation as a star imploded into dust, its grave a cold, silent expanse that would alone, receive it.
