I love the thought of H jealous over C, but in the scenario where C is still single and H has a gf. Things have just shifted, C realised he has feelings and then distanced himself. This naturally drives H crazy. Seeing other people have close proximity to him, touch him, spend time with him, experience his warmth. Meanwhile C’s acting super neutral. Not cold, but the contrast is stark compared to the amount of attention H was use to getting.
Replies are sloooow, effort seems minimal and he’s distant, but at the same time he’s seeing content from his friends with him, they’re openly celebrating him and he’s hearing that C is happy.
Naturally this leads H to question why he feels so jealous even of regular people like C’s friends. Why is he soo affected by no longer being the centre of C’s attention and affection 🫠🫠

I go through phases with the idea that connor is completely ass over tit in love with hudson (because sometimes it feels like it could be uncomfortably real and I don’t want that for him because it’s sad 😔) but equally I love situations where someone is caught between two lives/choices and you really have to push them to the brink to get them to realise what they really want. because if we set up this situation where hudson in theory has everything perfect: a long term gf he loves, a new bestie who is unlike anyone he’s ever met and he also loves dearly, and like, it’s kind of funny how close they are but it’s ok if he gives him a kiss or a super long hug or spoons with him in his bed because they’re just friends! he’s got a girlfriend. it’s just friends stuff! but no matter how hard he tells himself and everyone they are totally platonic people are messy, and maybe he realises it without either of them saying that connor wants him in another way. and that scares him because it doesn’t really scare him, it would probably be so amazing but they have such a good thing as friends. no need to mess it up. when everything else is so completely out of whack why try to look this thing in the eye when you could easily just brush it under the carpet? except now when he touches him he wants more, he’s flirting too hard, it’s getting dangerous when they’re alone because he knows how connor’s breath hitches when he slides his hand up his thigh or along his side, can feel his heart beating when he leans in close to whisper in his ear. but then connor stops letting him do that because it’s hurting more than being fun anymore. and then they’re in the same room not touching not even looking at each other and hudson feels like he can’t breathe. and they’re friends who smile and hug quickly and don’t hold hands or bite each other’s fingers or kiss each others shoulders. and that should feel fine because that’s how he’s friends with everyone else in his life. except now it’s not enough in any way
