11 questions
I like participating. Thanks jss.
1. Do you believe in soul mates? Yes, but I don’t think there is just one out there for everyone and I don’t think it applies strictly to people who are romantic with one another. Soulmates can be platonic too. 2. What’s the worst crime you’ve ever committed (whether you were busted or not)? I once kicked a car dealership’s front display window and it broke. It was St. Patty’s Day. I was 18. Underage and super drunk. Obviously, I didn’t expect a huge plate window to break. I ran away and jumped on a bus. Police came a couple days later to ask me questions, but I was never charged. Though I did shit myself for the next month that I was going to get a phone call…
3. Where is your favorite place on earth? This is really hard, but I have to say, right now, I love Berlin. Lucky me! I get to live where I love being! But to visit? Paris. And Lisbon. I’d always go back to Lisbon.
4. What place do you most want to visit? Croatia. Indonesia. Japan. Vietnam. Sweden. Iceland. Greece. More of Spain. Venice.
5. How many US states have you visited? Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, New York. Hawaii. Six. 6. If you could only eat three foods for the rest of your life, what would they be? Dates stuffed with almonds wrapped in bacon. Boeuf Bourguignon Croissants (I guess I wouldn’t get bored because with a diet that rich, my life wouldn’t be that long)
7. Do you believe in ghosts? yes.
8. Beer, wine, or booze? Don’t even tell me you don’t drink. I’m a firm believer in there being a time and a place for everything. 9. Do you wish you had more or fewer siblings than you currently have? Neither. Two brothers is enough. 10. What are you most looking forward to in the near future? Christmas in Canada, my brother’s wedding, my solo trip to New York, the weekend.
11. Since we are currently in the throes of the holiday season, it seems apropos to ask: what’s your favorite holiday (and don’t say your birthday)? I love Christmas. Love, love, love Christmas.
Now I get to ask the questions:
1. What was your favourite book as a kid? 2. What was your first concert that you attended without your parents? 3. Where is the best beach you ever visited? 4. Who is your current celebrity crush? 5. Can you tell me about a time your parents embarrassed you? 6. What was the best gift you ever received? 7. What do you do to wake up? 8. What feature do you wish your home had? 9. If you could only dress in one colour for ever and ever, what colour would that be? 10. What’s your favourite body part on you? 11. What’s your favourite kind of pie?

delightsandshadows replied to your photo: I confess. I’m not crafty. I don’t even really...
How much does Little love that sweet house?! I am not crafty either. And I feel guilty about it (thanks, Pinterest).
He loves it! It is made out of one of the remaining wardrobe boxes from our move, so it is the perfect size for him. He had a blanket and my iPad stashed inside.
I'm glad to know that i'm not the only non-crafty mommie that is also a glutton for punishment. I know better than to linger on Pinterest, but I just can't stop.
delightsandshadows replied to your post: Advent Calendar!
What are some of the activities? I am always impressed by your crafts!
Haha don't be too impressed, I made all the envelopes but they're all wonky!
Some of them are just things like watch Christmas movies, read Christmas stories, color Christmas trees for easy things to do when I have to work all day.
Other things are make candy cane and gingerbread play dough, bake cookies, make ornaments for the tree, go see the Christmas lights, make a gingerbread house, see Santa. Nothing too fancy!

Update: tried the Elmo costume on D and he immediately got upset and said he wanted to take it off!
Oh no! I think we're both in trouble.
I'm going to try it again next week. Fortunately there is time to ease him into it.
He saw it this afternoon and wasn't as bothered by it, but was still a little suspicious.
I just want him to wear it for long enough to get pictures. We'll see...

delightsandshadows replied to your post: I’m so bad with measurements. I went to get felt...
I couldn’t craft to save my life & I’m too lazy to look it up on Pinterest—what is a felt board?
It's just a board covered in felt that you put felt people, cars, animals, etc on. Felt sticks to felt so the pieces stay up so they can play with them!

7: So funny. I think that’s a common memory. 9: I cannot imagine, given your admitted lack of sleep on a general basis!
Yes. I found my thrill many times on Strawberry Hill... :)
I am a little amazed by my decaf habit as well. I used to be an absolute caffeine junkie. I worked in several coffee shops way back when and was (ok, I still am) a coffee snob.
But, after drinking a pot of coffee a day for many years, I realized that it just made me feel shaky and hopped-up but not really "awake". And, my tummy was getting sick of those liquid breakfasts--I needed something better.
So, about 3 and 1/2 years ago I just stopped drinking it cold turkey. I still love something hot in the morning and throughout the day, but now I just drink tons of decaf coffee or tea. My body thanks me for it.
And, once I do finally take off that sleeping mask (even with only a few hours sleep) I'm really ok. Some days I'm grumpier than others first thing in the morning, but once I'm moving, I'm moving.
Tomorrow may be one of those grumpier days... It's 3:29 AM and I'm still on Tumblr. *sigh*

I never bother spiders. My mother always said they were good because they eat other bugs.
That's what I think! Unless they're really huge I leave them alone. Last summer there was a couple really big spiders, I think they're called wolf spiders which someone told me are poisonous. I made my dad take them outside!
