Hidan hated to consider it, but he couldn’t help but think that his altar was to blame. Despite having devoted himself long ago, he couldn’t help but do a thorough search through the pedestal. Old book in hand, he double checked every symbol, every offering, and every ornament.

“Whatcha doin’?”

Hidan immediately scowled. Nothing he found could explain why a ghost had come to haunt his crappy apartment. He didn’t even have to turn and look to see your transparent form hovering over his shoulder. Hidan grumbled to himself. The apartment hadn’t been haunted when he moved in and now having rifled through his altar to Jashin, he had finally exhausted all possibilities. He seethed and you quickly got bored, opting to roam around the apartment as you usually did. Hidan ran his hands through his silver hair.

“You’re out of milk.” He reluctantly looked up and towards his open kitchen. You peaked through from the inside of the fridge. Hidan rolled his eyes, collapsing right onto the shaggy carpet under him. His forearms came over to cover his face.

“We do too have fuckin’ milk.” Hidan immediately scrunched his nose, hating his use of the word ‘we’. He couldn’t see your frown.

“It’s been expired for a month. There’s chunks in it. See?” The jug landed directly on his stomach, causing him to shoot up when he rested. Hidan let out a string of curses, clearly not enjoying being hit with a cold mass of spoiled milk.

“I’m sorry. I don’t have a hold on carrying things yet.”

“Well then don’t try to fuckin’ carry things.” In his frustration, Hidan scooped up the jug and hurled it at you. As he probably should have anticipated, it went right through you, slamming into the cabinets behind you. The door opened as the milk spilled all over the floor.

“Fighting with the ghost again?”

“Shut the fuck up, Kakuzu.” Your face lit up and you immediately launched yourself at Hidan’s returning roommate. You cried his name as you phased through him. Kakuzu didn’t bat an eye as he began to take off his shoes.

“Nip-Tuck!” You howled, disappearing into the wall behind him. Kakuzu scoffed.

“As if I need a nip tuck…” he muttered.

“Yeah, yeah, we all know you’re a fuckin’ moviestar.” Hidan griped from his spot on the floor, holding up two middle fingers towards his roommate. You appeared directly over his face, peering down with a disapproving expression.

“That’s rude. This is why I like Nip-Tuck better. But don’t tell Boomie or Geppetto, m’kay?” Hidan snarled and tried to swat you away, but to no avail. Kakuzu scooped up the remote from the couch and flicked on the TV before turning to leave for his bedroom.

“The fuck you do that for?” Hidan questioned and Kakuzu looked over his shoulder with a shrug.

“The ghost likes to watch cartoons.” Hidan silently nodded to himself as Kakuzu left. Then his eyes went wide with realization. He snapped his head back in the direction Kakuzu disappeared.

“Since when did we start shelling out electric bill money for a fuckin’ ghost?”
