I have an iPhone 5 and I noticed the battery would drain quicker and quicker especially if I used my bluetooth connection for my earpiece and Pebble. After a while it would turn off after showing it still had 20% battery left. I just thought this was to be expected from a phone that was almost 2 years old so I went on Amazon and purchased a DIY replacement kit (came with the tools) for 20 bucks (including shipping).  I replaced the battery in like 10 minutes and WOW what a difference. Shortly, after I was feeling pleased with myself, I noticed the announcement from Apple about the replacement program. Talk about timing, Lol! At least I’m hoping I can turn my receipt in to Apple for a refund. Anyway, if you were sold an iPhone 5 between September 2012 and January 2013 you may be eligible for this program. Follow the link to the Apple support page, enter your serial number and you’ll know if you qualify.
