If you are f2p its for sure a content drought and you run out of resources quick. it takes much longer compared to the other games to make miniscule progress to level up, draw cards and unlock more episodes of stories.

like I read all of lucifer's main story all in one go and while I had enough resources to do that, I can barely get anywhere with the rest of the brothers because of the work and affinity system being on such a long timer.

I just think its very obvious that this game had a short development timeline because there are many things that stand to be improved. like the stories for one are not nearly as detailed and they have very superficial characterizations. the app interface itself is very clunky and not intuitive, like I'm very surprised they released it as is because it needs to go back to development for overhaul. in 2025 having an unfriendly app navigation is pretty inexcusable imo.

I get that this is a different premise, technically a "lifestyle" app, but og omswd was still the best that they've produced and this new app feels to me like they're trying to copy other games/apps because of their popularity and its just poorly executed.

the om devs definitely have a lot of feedback from fans about what can be improved from the first two games, even before this app ever went into development and this is a huge fumble. to say that the game is brand new and the devs can improve it with new updates is just like naive? idk that thats the right word for it but at the end of the day this franchise is a business. they came out with an undercooked, underwhelmingly designed app and theyre trying to make the franchise into something their competitors are doing (like love and deepspace) and failing because they dont realize that they had kind of developed their own niche and then moved away from it. like I think if they had better writing and combined the rhythm games from nb into the og omswd and continued that storyline they could have really done something great.

I dont even gaf about the new animation change, why tf did they regress marinettes character and throw 5 seasons of character development down the drain, she's so insufferable againnnnn
