Akbal’s dad was a warrior in the land of the Unknown who retired when Akbal was born, and his mom was a healer. 

His dad got some enemies for his years in the military and one of them took revenge by attacking him and his wife one night. Akbal was a kid and survived because his mother hide him to keep him safe.

List ten fandoms and post your favorite character (oh shucks i suck at choosing faves)

Saint Seiya= Either Saori or Shaka. I have soft spots for literally everyone on this show but these two still rank the highest. Saori coming from being spoiled rotten to being a literal GODDESS and Shaka coming from feeling above mankind and their concepts on morality to literally dying for the love and admiration he has for his comrades and the justice Athena means.

Miraculous Ladybug= SAME ACK. If I had to choose, though...it’d be either Alya or Adrien. Mah poor son is a recipe to brooding teen archetype AND YET HE IS FULL OF LIGHT AND SMILES AND LIKES SPREADING HIS SHINE WITH EVERYONE as much as his shyness allows, that is. And Alya is...like damn, she made me doubt on my aceness for a moment there. So pretty and strong and wonderful.

Twilight Princess= Princess Zelda. No contest. She was my fave through my teens and she’s probably staying so forever. I think it was the first time I really appreciated a female character that’s strong in a non-typical way. I have an entire rant on how she’s literally the embodiment fo light in the game’s narrative but it’s a bit long. To wit- SHE’S SO GREAT

Animorphs= Tobias or Cass. If I had the chance, though, I’d grab all of them kids and wrap them in a blanket to protect them. Tobias speaks to the day-dreaming, bullied, lowkey angry with the world little kid in me and during my second reading of the first book, Cassie is just so precious, compassionate and bright!

TBOL= La Muerte, of course, closely followed by Manolo. The world needs more characters depicting sensitivity and faith in others as a strength rather than a flaw and La Muerte, while fierce, is still presented with the comment ‘She believes mankind to be inherently good’ as one of her defining phrases. Having faith in others doesn’t equal being weak or a pushover in the TBOL!verse and I love it. I daresay, though, that if we had more details on Carmen’s life, she’d be up there too. MARIA IS SO GREAT TOO THOUGHT LIKE BAE KICKS BUTTS TAKES NAMES INSPIRES THE TOWN TO FIGHT COMPLAINS AT HOW BEING TAKEN HOSTAGE BY THE VILLAIN IS ‘Typical’ I’D KEEP TALKING BUT THIS WOULD BE TWICE AS LONG

Red vs Blue= TEX. TEXAS. AGENT TEXAS *sniffs* Tex. I will never stop being sad at the concept of AI’s thinking they’re real people, and not only did she find out pretty early on that she was a ‘Fake’, but she learned her significant other had been tortured and that only she could save him...only for him to not remember her when he sees her. AND THEN IT’S THE OTHER WAY ‘ROUND DON’T TOUCH ME

Kubo and the Two Strings= Sariatu (Kubo’s mom) I just *screams* I HAVE SO MANY FEELS ABOUT HER YOU HAVE NO IDEA. SARIATU COMING FROM A LITERALLY AWFUL FAMILY AND MAKING THE CHOICE TO BECOME DIFFERENT, BETTER AND ACTUALLY DOING IT I JUST AHHHH-!

Steven Universe= Rose and Greg. Again, I have a weakness for parents, but gotta love how Rose was a war leader, a fearless strategyst, but also...well the lady who screams ‘Yeeha!’ while running into the ocean, like some kind of dork. And Greg’s journey into adulthood through being lost in his mid-twenties simply hits right home. Body representation is a HUGE factor as well.

Stranger Things=THE KIDS, I LOVED THEM ALL SO MUCH. If I had to pick one, though, then Eleven. My poor eggo-loving daughter, so lost, confused and scared in a world that she has been kept locked out of. My poor baby.

xxxHoLic= Yuuko and Watanuki share the spotlight here. Watanuki for being a child that is constantly, CONSTANTLY pulled towards darkness and yet he resists it in ways that are small but definitive; Yuuko is a dream. Funny and pretty and powerful, and a woman who isn’t necesarily strong in the traditional ways but still is probably the most powerful character in the story. AND SO COMPLICATED HGGGG. Like. Damn
