Three little adventurers by Khasuri

But troublemakers can't make the world beautiful.
The beast talked and it talked some more by Khasuri
The air was hot and full of blood and Marras knew something followed his every step. An echo filled with sharp laughter; a giggle that broke his bones and carved his soul hollow. He had heard it just before leaving into this cursed trip, that mocking laugh, it drove him closer to the edge than anything before. A beast's laugh, nothing else, nothing more. Its breathing came closer with sudden leaps, it echoed just to come back and to crawl onto his skin. The sensation made Marras turn his head a bit - only to see a disfigured shadow of a female he thought he has known. It smiled, it smirked, it grinned. It laughed and laughed a bit more; and with hoarse voice it talked and it talked some more. "Run, run the child of haunted fire, run to your skeleton gates Fresh ice in your eyes, bright defiance in your spine DO YOU SEE ME, DO YOU SEE ME?" He didn't dare answer for the beast was only an image, a nightmare from the gods meant to lead him astray. But the beast was there still, it sang and it screamed and it breathed through its teeth and nose. Green smoke swallowed them both for a moment and it was a moment enough. "WHY SO GRIM AND SOMBER, ARE YOU TORN ASUNDER? IS IT THE BEAST YOU LOVE OR LOVE TO HATE?" An image, a nightmare, a promise what there was to come. The beast was his wife, his darling wife, his plotting wife. She was beast-kind, she was a laugh under breath, she was everything, she was nothing. This was a future the gods offered, the future she would surely choose. With shivering voice he answered: "Yes."
