@decollateā sent: queen of hearts for the disney asks!
Whatās your museās favorite color?
I think itās black but Ogata would answer he doesnāt care.
@yunmeng-prideā sent: Prince Hans
How does the first impression your muse gives off differ from their true selves?
This can play out inĀ multitude ways and frankly depends on a person too.Ā Narrative surrounding Ogata is lots of hinting, heās extremely hard to read, thatās how heās in the story too.Ā Ogataās not someone who will go his way to please others for the sake of good talk, rather heās got the tendency to just... be mean sometimes.Heās direct but minds his own business at the end of the day unless thereās something to gain... but that said I donāt think heās like HUGE opportunist jumping at every whatever opportunity of self-gain either really?Ā
Generally it was a well known fact within the military that he was lieuetenant general Hanazawaās bastard child and some people would look down on him in regard that, avoid him maybe and ostracize. His personality doesnāt help this at all.
Heās direct and doesnāt care to please others even play nice but heās not overly outspoken to people that are act inĀ bad faith towards him either. He doesnāt clear up misunderstandings, keeps all to himself so thatās naturally something that can cause conflict. Heās very strict on others, again something that can cause conflict. Heās serialĀ traitor so no one trusts him. People of 7th division generally speakĀ him asĀ ātwo facedā (aside from poking fun of his birth circumstances&mother wildcat also can mean fraud etc.) thinking he has no moral code.Ā
Ā Sugimoto says he thinks heās out to disappoint everyone but also Asirpa says that she doesnāt think thatās what it is - and frankly I donāt either?Ā
I think Ogata did want to belong somewhere initially, maybe he still longs for it even. Ogata does have high guard on him but I wouldnāt go as far as saying that heās trying to mask it. Ogata himself sees him as incomplete and heās sort of ...acting that part, not literally acting though but rather living what he believes he is. Ogataās obsessed with how he is and his birth circumstances, itās something thatās been there his whole life. Heās obsessed about how heās āturned out to beā. To some degree he is the product of his surroundings but heās also cut lots of those connections himself (though granted most of these connections just werenāt good if ANY). I think at the core Ogata wanted/wants to be good but itās ...he doesnt act on it.
Thereās also the effect of Tsurumiās manipulation - while Ogata didnāt end up following he really absorbed some of those that Tsurumi likely did plant to him on purpose
