More on the Deceptibee au:
B-127 grew up in the furnaces among broken and defective bots, surviving on spare parts. Mirage was the protegee of a famous journalist who mysteriously disappeared after threatening to publish scandalous articles about Sentinel and Zeta Prime.
Both got adopted by Senator Shockwave, who's having a not-so-great time dealing with the Senate suddenly turned war council. What the other Senators and Primes don't know about is that he's been feeding data to the Decepticons, specifically, one of the Decepticons most feared groups: Megatron's. No one knows why he choose this guy over a bunch of other more functional and reliable options, but he did.
The yapping machine aka Shockwave has been sabotaging the council plans for a while, but flying under the radar is getting harder with each cycle. Soon, someone is going to find out, the kids will be in danger, and Primus help whoever tries to lay a single digit in one of Shockwave's kids.
Meanwhile, Megatron has stopped dreaming of a pacific revolution long time ago. He's definitely not your charismatic, eloquent leader of a legion. Megatron is old, sour, violent and also more fragile, tired. Hot Rod is his competent and loved by everyone son second in command, trying to hold him back from burning the world and in the process, burn himself.
Orion Pax is an old Scavenger who, during a patrol, happened to find a certain young bot at the edge of madness from being able to hear too much, maybe even thoughts (what?). Orion helps the kid and now he's talking about sworn loyalty and that he'll die for him excuse me what-
