It's day 1 of #BlackHistoryMonth and the first thing I saw this morning was white ICE protestors talking about getting into #prettigood trouble.
They're Co-opting the words of John Lewis, a Black man who used his voice, his body and his blood to fight for equal rights. To re-enter the 2 white victims of ICE when there are dozens of black and brown people whose lives have been lost and remain in danger.
Please find another way to protest that doesn't step on the voice of a Black man who fought the power.
It is ok to fight the power too without doing that.
