It was unusual for a crocodile to be walking alone through the Outlands. It was the height of the dry season, and Pua should have been sleeping through it, alone and separate from the float he had once called family.
But like them, his slumber had been disturbed by the actions of the Lion Guard. When they had been finding new homes for the elephants, they had lead the herd over his burrow and woken him up. Kion explained to him the circumstances of their evacuation, and the one who was behind the destruction of their home: Scar.
How it was possible that the old King had returned from the dead, Pua didn’t know. He had asked around, and the only information the other animals could give him was that Scar had created an army and was siezing control of the Pridelands piece by piece, and there was one animal rumoured to have been the one who brought him back.
Pua’s foot brushed something to the side that made a rustling noise, and he stopped to look at it. Snakeskin.
He was old, the sun was hot, and he had not eaten since his seasonal rest. It was a very real possibility that he would die out here, but at least he would do one last good thing before he did:
He was going to kill Ushari the Cobra.
