Happy New Year's Eve! 🎉 Will you be ringing in the new year in any special way? We're going to have a chill night in playing games with my family, which is about as wild as I like my NYE celebrations to get. . . This wraps up my reading for 2018 (a couple books from this month are on loan & are not pictured), and brings the total number of books I read this year to 170! 😱 I'll be honest, I'm surprised -- but also not, because I definitely used reading as a means of therapy for some tough times this year, and often read way into the night because I couldn't sleep. So if you read fewer books, but slept well, know that I'd trade you in a hearbeat. But also remember, everyone reads differently, and it's not a contest. I previously posted my favorite 2018 releases that I read this year (with one list for YA, and one for non-YA), but generally some of my favorite *reads* this year were adult romantic comedies. . . I never really read romance before this year, and I mostly got into it after giving my SIL a gag gift for her birthday (long story; you can read about it on the blog) ... but I'm so glad I did. This has been one of the hardest years of my life personally (still not talking about why publicly), but books like these saved me. What's the longest book you read this year? 🗡 Hands down for me, it was Kingdom of Ash. Such a MASSIVE book, but it was truly an epic and amazing conclusion to the Throne of Glass series. . . Hi friends! 🙌 What's the last book you read & would totally recommend?! 😍❤️📚 . Omg, I LOVED Reflection by Elizabeth Lim. I LOVED IT. If you are fans of Disney's Mulan, then you definitely need to check it out because it's awesome 😭❤️❤️❤️ Mulan travels to the Underworld to save Shang from a wound he got saving her from Shan-Yu (the leader of the Huns), and so she must face lots of obstacles in the Underworld against a ticking clock (or so to speak 😉) The chef is super excited to read it too & she said it will be the last book she reads this year! 😍 Totally recommend it!
