“Oh, come on,” Nadia exclaimed, gesturing to the chess board. “You could have had me three separate ways over the last five turns.” Because of course she learned how to play chess from her father. Hank’s play style involved lots of traps--and complaining. She’d been about to launch into an explanation of how exactly he could have one when she stopped and just looked at him. “You did that on purpose, didn’t you? You let me win.”
Wasn't the mcu wasp named hope and not Nadia? I know there is a new wasp named Nadia in the 616 but I'm just trying to understand is all
Everything you’ve said is factually accurate, yes. I’ll explain it without going in depth here, italicizing/bolding what i’ve changed/added from canon.
My version of The (new) Wasp is a mix of both characters. Hank Pym is her father, but her mother was Maria Trovaya. She was born as Nadia Pym while her mother was in HYDRA custody and taken to be raised in the Red Room. By and large, her background is that of 616 Nadia with the emphasis of her training in RR being split between scientific skills and more general Widow-esque spy training.
When she was 20 (year 2000) she escaped RR and spent the better part of the next decade on the run while HYDRA tried to get her back. She made it to the US in 2009, and found a widowed Hank. From there, my Nadia’s backstory follows MCU canon. When she and Hank decided Nadia would take a job at PymTech, she created a record of herself as Hope Van Dyne (rather than Pym because they wanted to avoid nepotism accusations).
In my post Civil War verses, Nadia became involved with the Avengers when she noticed Scott was missing. She eventually found him after Cap busted everyone out of the Raft and got him back home to Cassie. She stayed in New York to run the east coast side of things with Pym Tech as CEO. (Hank bought back controlling interest in the company and is now chairman of the board, overseeing things on the west coast.)

Nadia looked at him like he’d brought her the biggest box of her favorite candies. “Aww, Rals, you shouldn’t have,” she cooed sincerely. “Best Valentine. But I didn’t get you anything! Maybe we can share?”
Falls over next to her on the couch and pulls the throw blanket over his head. "I hate Christmas time."
Nadia, in fuzzy slipper-socks and festive PJs, giggled at the irony of that phrase coming from under a wreath-festooned blanket. “And why’s that? Not enough booze in your eggnog?” she teased.
