Pepper didn't say anything as she stepped up behind where Natasha was sitting, knowing that she already knew she was there. She leaned over her shoulder and kissed her cheek, then carded her fingers through her hair. "Are you okay?" Tony was on a business trip, so it was just the two of them for the next couple days. Pepper was thinking about a bath, but she wanted to feel her girlfriend out a little bit before suggesting it.

And had been going to kindergarten and doing very well for two weeks now, and when she came home with a flier for the school's parent association, Tony was actually a little interested. His parents had never been involved in his school, even when he'd still been learning at home, and maybe it would be nice. "Tasha? What d'you think of this? Do you... Do you think we should join?"

"Mama? Can we make pizza for dinner? Surprise Daddy?" James normally cooked, but Tony liked surprising him when he could and pizza was fun to make because he got to help roll it and put on all the toppings.

Tony had done everything he could to not look at Steve like he was everything his father had made him out to be and more, but it was hard. He had an easy sort of dominance and he was so huge and beautiful. And catching Natasha looking hadn’t helped any, which meant it was probably time to say something. Direct was probably best. “Do you want to ask Steve to join us?”

"Shar? You ever feel like something is so good that there's no way in hell it could really be happening?"

It hadn’t been particularly easy to obtain two weeks away from everything, but it was worth it. He’d finally found proper rings for them and as much he’d been against marriage to start with, he found himself desperately wanting a honeymoon with Natasha. And getting to travel just to travel with her was exciting all on its own. “I want to take pictures. Lots of pictures.”

Tony wrapped an arm heavily around Natasha and pulled her against his side, nuzzling into her hair for a second before even looking at what she’d been doing. Then he was immediately interested. “Having fun?”
