The western world doesn’t teach people how to behave during a relationship. We know to listen to adults and be respectful, but the teaching ends there. Becoming a tradwife has taught me how I can improve my marriage, my relationship with my Husband and how to be a heavenly wife.  

I was taught to be independent, assertive, and head-strong. Some of which have lead me into great positions in my career field, however at the end of the day I did not feel fulfilled. Once I met my Husband I was still a dominant woman, but being with him made me feel softer and warmer. I was able to truly be myself, a light hearted woman. 

Unfortunately that went away once we moved to North Carolina. I was bitter and cold towards him. He stilled loved at the end of the day, but I didn’t love myself at all. It wasn’t until a few months ago I picked up a book that describes how women should be in a marriage. The author goes on to describe a godly wife who supports, submits, obeys, and reverence her Husband. All of which I was not doing and once I recognized my faults I told myself I will NEVER be that wife again. 

Since reading that book, arguments between us had gone down, there is a calmness in the air, and we are overall happier. Knowing my Husband has the final say and he is the leader has brought peacefulness that was missing from our marriage. He too comes from a family with strong willed women and seeing him becoming the natural leader he was meant to be has improved his life as well. He has became more confident at work and home. He is meant to protect, provide, and be the head of the household.
