#debbie asks

omg yes hello ofc I can, don’t feel dumb I am the #worst at consistently posting about ocs so people almost always forget about them haha. so basically debbies fic is set over a number of the mcu movies, but doesn’t follow the conventional timelines. she’s carol danvers baby sister so we first see her in captain marvel. her entire life debbie has lived in carol’s shadow, she’s been trying to live up to her sisters name for as long as she can remember. when carol ‘dies’ debbie is finally able to step out into the limelight and shine on her own, she becomes an incredible pilot of her own right, she falls in love (admittedly with the man that carol was in a relationship with before she disappeared with but oop we don’t talk about that) and she is doing really well for herself. then carol comes back, and she’s better than she’s ever been and once again debbie is second to her sister - she does help out in the captain marvel story though, she does try to be a good person

basically debbie is very morally grey and she is extremely jealous of her sister. carol goes back off into space to defend the universe and debbie is left with the weight of having captain marvel as a sibling on her shoulders. she ends up searching for ways to enhance herself, which is where she comes into deadpool. she is in the same facility where wade goes to ‘cure’ his cancer, except debbie didn’t have anything wrong with her, she just wanted to be stronger, better, more. 

debbie is injected with an early and very experimental version of extremis (as seen in iron man 3) and it gives her certain very temperamental abilities. whilst wade is badly burnt in the explosion that sees him escape the facility, debbie comes out unscathed and more powerful than ever. she is presumed dead by all but wade wilson and together they form a very unlikely but extremely entertaining friendship/flirtationship. honestly wade and debbie are probably my fave brotp that I have, they’re really fun together. debbie helps wade out in the events of deadpool but after that they go their separate ways. she tries her hand at being a superhero, but it doesn’t go very well - she’s too unstable and ends up causing more harm than good (think will smiths character in hancock) but she’s #trying

we next see debbie in endgame, she’s been MIA for years and then she turns up at Avengers HQ, looking not a day older than when carol left her. carol has questions, debbie doesn’t want to answer...cooper also makes an appearance and he’s like ??? why are both my ex girlfriends superheroes? hilarity ensues.

oh my gosh thank you so much i’m so glad you like her! okay so scott and debbie are fun because most of the time I think scott is lowkey overwhelmed by the situation he finds himself in and honestly debbie thrives off his state of near constant confusion. 

she loves to wind him up and does so at every opportunity, scott can almost never tell whether debs is being serious or sarcastic and he’s often left looking at everyone else in the room like ??? help me pls ??? 

also i lowkey love the idea of debbie being a bit au and fourth wall breaky like wade is in deadpool so she asks scott a  L O T  about things about paul rudd

sorry I am so late I am the worst but thank you so so so much for sending this message. poor baby debs has always been in her sisters shadow so she doesn’t really have a sense of identity for a while, until carol goes missing. she knows she should be sad about losing her sister and she is but she also finds the opportunity to be herself for the first time in forever, with no one comparing her to her sister and its very liberating for her. In her later story alongside wade he is the first friend she has had that knows nothing about carol and so he only knows her as debbie, she really loves that about their friendship

ooooh yay thank you, yes Debbie + Cooper are the cutest cause like, he loves her but she is convinced he still has feelings for Carol (he definitely doesn’t) ugh my poor loves. I’m glad you like her though cause I am OBSESSED

thank you so much! well tbh you all have @samwilsonns to thank because she has listened to me scream into the void about debbie solidly for like the past week and a half and has helped me revamp her character and actually plot her story and timeline. we’ve been bouncing ideas off each other for a while now and joey’s mind is amazing so yah thank you to my bb joey for helping with that! as for the gifset itself, i just wanted it to show as much of debbie’s change and development as possible so yah

I mean it’s valid cause they are super cute together but nope they are just the best brotp ever, with absolutely no romance between them - although lots of sexual chemistry and jokes, but nothing they’d ever act on
