(24M) I’m going to be a little stubborn. Two people have told me I have brown hair, I think I’m still strawberry blond. To be fair to one of those people, he mostly sees me inside and he hasn’t seen me in the summer yet.

Pictures 1-4 are from the last month or so (northern hemisphere end of winter little sun) and Picture 5 is from the end of last summer, a month before I started T (yes I know T darkens hair but it’s literally been less than 6 months and it’s the winter lol).

Anyway I’m a little vain and now I’m trying to figure out if I’m just holding onto an old hair color (was Definitely blond for most of my childhood) instead of facing reality or if they are off.

People did argue about my hair color in high school multiple times so I’m wondering if it’s going to be contentious. And also I look fucking pink if I wear most warm colors which I think at least points at being a ginger. But I will accept the popular opinion with grace.

May is probably too soon but any Blasian and/or Pacific Islander Black or Dark skinned people (I can only think of the Rock but I know he’s not the only one) would be a good fit for then.

July is disability heritage month AND French American heritage month. If you want to space out any of your remaining characters, they may be a good fit there. I know I would love to see French-American/French-speaking Women of Color and Disabled Women of Color during that time :).

August is trans history month (that seems new to me but I’m fairly new to being trans myself) so again some can go there.

September 15-October 15 would be perfect for any Afro-Latinas and Spanish African ladies you have (I think Hispanic heritage month was originally September but a lot of schools changed it to these dates so kids have time to prepare and celebrate it properly.

October is additionally Filipino Heritage month so you could put some Black & Filipino ladies there (I know there’s a bunch but the only one coming to mind is Hailee Steinfield) and maybe some other SEAsian/mixed ladies there.

And of course November is Indigenous Month! Any Pacific Islander girls you may have not been ready for in May could go here, and Black other-Indigenous women too.

I have a feeling you already know these things but hopefully this can give you more time, it sounds like you have an important set goal and I’m hoping to help destress. God knows I have one hell of a drafts folder.

I actually have a list in the drafts of Black female celebrities with Asian heritages for May. July is always complicated because Tumblr has very little findable Black disability content. I have never thought about French, but maybe next year. Everything after July is further than I'm thinking about currently, but I don't feature Hailee Steinfeld, unless she happens to be in the post with the Sinners cast or something. She won't be in the mix of what I've got going on.

I do feel like I never really do nothing for Hispanic Heritage Month, but I also don't always know backgrounds. It's only been cool to claim to be Afro Latina in mainstream for maybe a decade and a lot of guesswork was done prior to that. (If I have to do research work to figure things out, I usually am gonna skip it.

My general method is to look at my BFCD Calendar 3 months out. So, currently, I've been looking at April, May, June. Last month, I was tinkering with March, April, May. Next month will be May, June, July. Etc. So, things that I intend to make lists for are in drafts and posts that I intend to share start going into queue about 3 months early, and whenever I don't finish, I either slap a placeholder tag on it, leave it in drafts, or take a nearby off day to rush whatever I might have in drafts into the queue.

I don't necessarily omit the mixed ladies from things formerly queued, they just don't have as many posts that fit much of what I have going on. They're usually part of the Pink Days or B&W Days, but not so much, most of the other things I focus on. (I'm Black American. Idk when a lot of other things are taking place like Filipino Heritage time - Idk if I have ever heard about it, even though, I'm sure it is a big deal to some. And I knew very few Black Filipino characters or entertainers offhand, so I probably wouldn't make that an event, because so far, it sounds like it would be a lot of work and I don't like to do a lot of work.

But. Like I said, the stuff that I've got, I'm gonna be able to get much of it out that I hadn't been able to move before, and then I can maybe think about future events that I haven't done previously. Some don't last, even. Like, I'm gonna probably run out of black and white posts within the next few months and do away with B&W Days.

For my ml comics: jdgejsvs this threw me into a rabbit hole of going into my мой рисунок (my art) tag and trying to discern each comic's ratio for how much I like it vs. how many notes it got 😂😅 Personally I think this comic is objectively one of the funniest ones I've drawn, but it didn't get as many notes as some others I've drawn, so I'd have to go with that lol

I'm going to see Shrek: Kātahi Te Korokē tonight and I am SUPER excited! My siblings and I used to quote entire scenes from Shrek in the car and drive our folks absolutely around the bend but I haven't watched it in years so I'm hype to watch it i tōku reo tuarua.
