Accra, Ghana. Joseph Huno Nomo is laying in state in the family's home while his wife is mourning.

In the Toraja district of Baruppu, the body of the dead is not buried but placed in a hole carved into a cliff. Every year family members would bring them out and add another layer of fabric to cover the remains before returning them to its final resting place. Ma'nene is a tradition that takes place in August after harvest where the bodies of the dead loved ones are exhumed to be cleaned, groomed and dressed.
