I had a Radioapple x Deathnote AU idea I had to get out XD

After the Shinigami king, Lucifer, “gave” his Deathnote to a human Alastor, he begins a quest to carry out his twisted moral code. Alastor in this time makes the Shinigami eye deal and disguises himself, making sure to familiarise himself with all the rules of the Deathnote.

Lucifer, being infatuated, aids him in gaining a longer lifespan through the farming of Shinigami as directed by Alastor, who has found a loop hole in the method of killing a Shinigami via self sacrifice. (Like Rem and Misa).

As this rule is not well known, Lucifer and Alastor use it to manipulate lesser Shinigami with sizeable lifespans, convincing them to “protect” Alastor out of the interest of the Shinigami king. What these Shinigami don’t realise, is that they are intentionally attempting to preserve Alastor’s lifespan, inadvertently causing them to die and give their life to Alastor.

Alastor appears inhuman, as he is attempting to remain hidden as best he can until he turns 124- for the Deathnote stipulates that it cannot be used to kill people who are aged 124 or older, thus leaving him invincible to Shinigami when that time comes. So for now, he and Lucifer and only picking smaller, lesser than Shinigami to get him by.

Does Alastor know that all humans who use the Deathnote must die? Yes. He isn’t too concerned about that. He doesn’t wish to live forever or become God like Light Yagami, he wants to do what he can for as long as he can, and when he knows he’s out of steam, he will exit most gracefully as he can.

He is aware that Lucifer will be the one to write his name in his book. Lucifer now possess a second/ few books after farming Shinigami.

Are Alastor and Lucifer in love? Lucifer falls first, starting with infatuation borne from boredom. Alastor follows after a while, however he is at first allured by the power. Lucifer’s personality comes after him later. XD

Does Ryuk, Light an L exist in this AU? Sure. But they’re in Japan where Alastor is not. Alastor is also from a different time period so he’ll eventually line up with their timeline, but not for a while.

Vox will be another human whose discovered the Deathnote, but that won’t be for quite a few years. His obsession with Alastor’s murderer persona is about as strong as Misa’s for Light, however Vox would likely be more powerful and determined to get to him, thus proving to be a bigger liability.
