Dear November
I feel the raindrops roll down my forehead, in my eyes to land on my cheeks. The children are playing around me, happily jumping in the puddles that steadily grow with each minute. I charge my mental battery with each laugh and joyful shear.
October has been a roller coaster with making new happy memories and news that made the foundation shake, where the aftershock is still making it self known a bit every day.
The future is unknown and out of my hands, out of anyone's hands.
Old thoughts and fears came back stronger and won't leave for a long time, I'm afraid.
This wasn't how I imagined you to say hello November, with rain, hard winds, and some unsure feelings about life.
As the rain soaks my clothes, I soak in the happiness at work, drowning in the laughs from the children. Trying to remember that feeling of being unafraid to feel, to try, to just be in the happiness here and now.
I hope that in the end of your time for this year, November, that happiness and snow are all that's around us.
