This week, the @womenwarriorswork will be highlighting Melanie Archuleta. Melanie Archuleta, Kaibab Paiute, was born and raised in Denver, CO. Melanie is a recent graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, and is a candidate for a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the Institute of American Indian Arts. Melanie has a strong interest in public policy and cultural effects of policy; and plans to attend Law School. Melanie’s goal is to utilize language for healing. She enjoys volunteering, most recently, for a River Trip with the Southern Paiute Consortium to monitor ancestral sites in the Grand Canyon, for the Glen Canyon Dam Project. #womxnwarriorswork #womenwarriorswork #myheartwork #dearnativeyouth
