I love you to the moon and back. 

I watch old videos of you to cheer me up when I feel down, your voice makes me happy. During xfactor I thought you were the cutest lil baby, you were adorable when you said “thank you so much” during your audtion, you were so nervous but look at you know, you in the worlds biggest boyband and preforming in front of thousands of adoring fans.

I always love how you were so adorable when you were in xfactor days. I always replay “I like girls who likes carrots” and “Superman!!” Every day in my head. 

No control is my favorite song and I always sing along to your solo whenever it’s on. 

I want you to be the happiest I’ll boy in the world,

Louis Tomlinson is the nicest person I have (n)ever met. Like, I know that there’s a lot of famous people who care about charity and donate lots and lots of money but I really can’t just wrap my head around the fact that Louis is real. He’s been told he’d never achieve anything; he has changed job so many times, he has audictioned for X-Factor at 18 and for two years he’s received not even a bit of attention for his voice. He eventually got more solos, he found out his voice had to improved, and he worked so hard to improve it. He has been pictured by the media as a sort of clown, then as a sort of stupid asshole who put out random middle fingers and made homophobic comments, then as a drug addict and then again as a cheater. After the cheater, Louis was a womanizer and, eventually, he became an irresponsible lad who fucked random girls without condoms, and accidentally got a fella pregnant. I don’t know if all of this is true, and it’s none of my business. What matters to me is that he has finally showed who he truly feels to be, at Cindarella ball. A caring, fantastic young man that helped organizing a huge Ball for seriously ill children, a Ball that seemed stolen from a fairytale. He literally gave them the night of their lives. These children don’t know if they’ll ever make it to prom, or if they’ll ever have a wedding. He gave them all of this. In one night, he gave them the future. He treated all of them like princesses and princes; he behaved like a king. He danced with them, he laughed with them; he made sure they had their faces painted, he bought fucking suspenders for 6k pounds and paid 10k pounds to get his best friend rigged as a tiger. He hired fake paparazzis to make the children feel special. He bought toys. And his smile was so bright and so genuine all along the time. Louis lives to help other people, and I don’t get how y'all couldn’t realize this until tonight. He does what he wants to do, what he feels it’s right to do, and does it with non ceremonies, no arrogance, no selfish purpose. He knew what a child’s dream is, and he made it come true. It’s simple as this, and Louis is like that. He’s simple, he’s caring, he’s young, he’s generous. He just doesn’t like showing it all the time. I am so proud of Louis William Tomlinson. Like seriously, I am proud of him, and I’m proud of me, for choosing such a role model for the person I want to become, one day.

I love you more than life itself and everyday, I think I could never possibly find anymore love or pride in what you have done. Then, you do something incredible and suddenly, I love you more. You are a beautiful human, inside and out and I really really really hope someone has told you that and that you listen to them. It takes a special kind of person to be like you and I’m so glad that I got to watch you grow over the last 5 years.

Dear Louis, My sunshine. My moonlight. You’re there for me in my brightest hour and at my darkest. I’ll start by saying thank you. Thank you for how much you have done for charities, everything you support is truly amazing and I am so proud. Thank you for everything you have done for the boys. I’m sure Harry, Liam, and Niall have all learned a lot from you and it’s made them even better people, if that’s even possible. Thank you for how much you have bettered music. Your voice is that of an angel and your songwriting skills are so so important to the band. Thank you so much for how much you’ve done for us, the fans. I think I can speak for all of us when I say how extremely proud we are. A lot of us have been fans since the beginning, and for me it’s been amazing to grow up with the other fans, we’re more than a fandom. WE ARE A FAMILY. This is only a short list of things I could thank you for but here’s one last thing. Thank you for being there for me. I wish that I could make you smile and laugh as much as you have for me. I wish you could know how grateful I am, and how much I love you. I love you for how big of a heart you have. I love you for how much you care about the other boys. I love you for how much you care about us. Whether you’re wearing sweatpants and a too big jumper, or a suit and tie, or ripped jeans and a tank top, you look absolutely gorgeous. You’re so beautiful, and don’t let anyone tell you differently. I can’t say that I truly know who you are, but who I see you as is beautiful. Yesterday is yet again another reason to ask myself how you are even real. The wonderful Cinderella Ball, the kids giddy with excitement, the happy parents and your own family, friends and fans glowing with pride. You made so many people smile, like you always do.

When I entered the fandom a couple of months ago, I did because I liked the One Direction music. But along the way I was also lucky enough to get to witness your character which shines through everything you do. My personal problems bring me down sometimes, make me feel like I’m drowning, unable to breathe. That’s when you lift me back up. It doesn’t matter if I listen to some songs or just watch a short video of you having fun and being the biggest dork on earth, it always manages to bring light into my darkness when everything else fails.

I’m writing this letter to you hoping that you see how much you are appreciated, not for some media perception but as an artist and as the personified sunshine and great person you are. I wholeheartedly hope that this can put a smile on your face and make you feel as special as you make us feel on a daily basis.

So thank you. Thank you for letting us see the real you. Thank you for sharing your life, heart and soul with us. Thank you for showing us that no matter what we are going through there is a way to happiness if you just search and fight hard enough for it. Thank you for teaching us to stand up for all that we are and all that we want to be. Thank you for your kindness, strength and passion. Thank you for being our sunshine, our safety place and our faith.

Words can’t express how proud I am. Not of the famous One Direction member but of the guy from Doncaster who made his dreams come true and managed to stay himself in a world that is full of fake smiles and vanity. I won’t ever be able to show you how grateful I am for everything you do.

I don’t think I can honestly thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me. I’m going to try but I don’t know how I’ll be able to put it into words.

Thank you for being so beautiful in everything you do. You treat everyone with the kindness they deserve. You bend over backwards for the people you love. You take time out of your busy schedule to do things you don’t have to do, like throwing a beautiful ball for all these terminally ill children. Most celebrities, or people in general, wouldn’t do as much as you’ve done for those children. The fact that you spent over 10% of what you’re worth to Believe in Magic is heartbreakingly beautiful. Thank you for thanking us every day, every time you step on stage, and for being so thankful in general.

Thank you for helping me when no one else could. There were times when I honestly didn’t want to live anymore, where I thought I’d be better off dead. The only thing keeping me here was you. You plucked a heart string with me the second I saw you, all smiles and bright red chinos. You were literally my sun for so long, the only thing keeping my world bright. If it weren’t for your laughs, your jokes, your kindness to everyone, I don’t know how in the world I would have made it. Seeing all the other boys cherish you made me love you even more, and now I’m wrapped around all of your fingers. God really did bring me to you, and I’ll never forget that.

Thank you for being so talented and humble. Thank you for giving your all in everything you do. Thank you for being so incredibly wonderful. Thank you for never giving up and wearing a smile even when you didn’t want to. Thank you for helping me grow and change. Thank you so much, baby. Really.

I’m so proud of you, every single day, for what you’ve accomplished. From being a part of the one of the best bands in the world, to playing football, to just being the best person you can be, I’ll never not be proud of you.  louis is such an amazing person but his image has been so distorted that if you were to hear an interview from now and 2012 you wouldn’t be able to recognize him bc he’s been told what to do and how to act and he doesn’t deserve that he’s being controlled by management and his image is being twisted so badly that he isn’t being himself bc he’s being told that’s wrong and they’re giving him such a careless rude party boy aura but that’s not him and yes i understand that he’s grown up but as he’s been growing up his image had been thrown out the window every damn time. he’s always been the undercut one and we don’t realize how amazing he is and how much he cares, not only for us but for charity as well, he dyed his hair red and nobody gave thought to that and that was 2 almost3 years ago and he’s playing football matches for charity bloody hell he donated 15% of his net worth to children w terminal illnesses he seemed so happy and he looked like he was genuinely having fun at the ball w all the little princes and princesses and i want that smile to be on his face forever, he put so much time and money and effort into organizing this ball why is he so underappreciated there are small things that have changed like when he smiles in interviews his eyes don’t crinkle up or when he laughs he doesn’t cover his mouth w the back of his hand and when he’s talking about the baby or management his lips are in a straight line and his eyes go dull whenever management makes him do something and you can see it in his eyes and he doesn’t even try to hide it. why are we not acknowledging his kindness and his heart and how big it is. louis is not just a part of one direction he is a person of his own and he doesn’t get credit for that bc all people see is “future baby daddy” and they view him as a reckless person who should not be idolized and management keeps on breaking a piece off of him and throwing it away and soon there isn’t going to be the louis we know there’s just going to be this mirage, this illusion of a person that has been created by people thirsty for money and publicity and we will be so blinded by this fake image of him that we wont realize that he is slowly disintegrating into dust and when he’s gone completely he wont be gone he will be back abd he’s going to bring a sandstorm w him and im afraid that that sandstorm is going to absolutely demolish him

but what i mean to say, is that louis, you are loved and appreciated by so many and you deserve nothing less than the best and you deserve to be cherished and loved and held onto because you are a masterpiece, inside and out. you are a work of art and im sorry that your image is fucked up, but please know that we will always be by your side and i hope you realize that you’ve saved so many lives and continue to do so, whether that is with charities or by being yourself, you continue to shine on brighter than any star in the galaxy and i will always, and i mean always, be by your side and have faith in you bc you are the most unique, kind, handsome person i have come across and i just want an opportunity to tell you that i person but if i cant, i want you to know this, dear louis, you are never ending river of honey, you are one in a million and god, you are a work of art, you are a fucking masterpiece and even if you heard that a million times a day, that wouldn’t be enough because you deserve to hear it a million times a minute.

I sat down to write this out and I was too excited to even form words, but I think I have it now.

I found One Direction in the middle of a terrible fight with my best friend. Every person we were both friends with immediately went to her side of things and began hating me. It was rough because I had already spent three years with her, my first friend at a new school.

I have always struggled to show interest in things that I liked if others around me didn’t like it, and One Direction was the first thing in years that I loved without anyone else showing interest.

During that fight, I found you boys via a video on my dashboard of the inbetweeners dance. I thought you guys were so adorable and you were the first thing to make me smile in days. I wanted more, so I set out to find more, I scoured YouTube until I found every video I could. I watched the video diaries and interviews and I fell madly in like with the little funny one. 

You, Louis William Tomlinson, were the light I needed. You were the strength I needed to stand up and not be ashamed of the things that interested me. You helped me not to give a fuck what others thought so long as I was happy and not hurting anyone.

Sure, it started with music, but it didn’t end there. I’m more comfortable in what I wear and how my hair is, I like my voice, and I passionately throw myself into everything I love with no shame. I can do that now. 

And Louis, I like myself better because you are so incredible. You hide behind the harder edges of humor and sarcasm so that your gentle heart, kindness, and generosity can never be damaged. I do that too, now. But I’m not afraid of showing who I am.

I came out in a rush of tears and emotion and I dove into you for solace because you are what makes me smile when I am breaking. I’m sorry if this is all over and makes no sense. I have so much To thank you for, Louis.
