“Monsieur, I was curious if you had done any research on feral ghouls. And if not, perhaps we could find a feral ghoul....colony and do some studying first hand?”

Something I might finish one day, but here’s Dickie saying silly things as usual.
🌿 with Valen
send 🌿 to find our muses under mistletoe
Ivakir sniffed the air and soon regretted it, feeling a fit of nausea. Big mistake if you did it in Goodneighbor. Iv put her hand to her mouth and lifted her head, but involuntarily admired the decorations hanging near the bar. And in general throughout the city. Few people now celebrated Christmas, New Year and similar holidays for obvious reasons. Few people remembered them, including, of course, Ivakir herself. But it was nice to see the lights, even if not all of them worked. At such moments it seemed that the past was knocking into the future. The atmosphere felt fun, she wanted to join this holiday, although it was not at all clear why it was celebrated at all.
Ivakir exhaled a cloud of steam. The air was colder, heavier, but there was no snow. It used to fall out with gray flakes, but this rarely happened. No snow drifts, snowstorms, snowball fights. Iv only saw snow in old magazines or snow balls with a liquid inside, if they were not broken. Sometimes she dreamed that maybe one day a lot of snow would fall in the Commonwealth and she could .. Ivakir herself didn’t know what she could, but to see once the snow was in the list of her endless desires.
“Valen, look!”
She pointed at a specially interesting decoration. It reminded Iv of grass with white berries. She had never seen such a decoration. She reached out and plucked the grass.
“Do you know what that means, Valen?” Ivakir almost poked this grass into the man’s face, slightly hugging him by the shoulder. “This is some kind of salad that someone hung over the door for some reason, but this will be our lunch today!”
Waiting for the best, namely that her taste buds will explode with a sweet burst of taste (because the berries should be sweet), Ivakir tore off one of the white berries and put it in her mouth. She felt nothing, and her face visibly stretched out.
“It’s damn plastic! A lie! Everything is a lie!” she threw grass on the ground and stepped on it with a boot. The anger left her. Ivakir looked rather sad. “Buy me some food?”
She will never know the real meaning of this grass and why it hung right above the door. But who ever hung it there? Who remembered the old tradition? All this was unimportant. The only important thing for Ivakir was her hurt feelings and an empty feeling in the stomach.

“So, you impressed yet? I told you I was a damn good shot.” (Sam & Skye)
A laugh leaped out of Skye’s mouth as she watched several bullets burst from the muzzle of Sam’s gun and slam into their targets, which were empty beer bottles lined up on an old picket fence. Skye had suggested the pair of them get out of town for the day, mostly to unwind from their work, distance themselves from civilization, and blow off steam together.
There were a few abandoned buildings near the Nordhagen Beach that Skye liked to frequent when she wanted to be alone, so that had been their destination. Normally, she never took anyone to her little seaside retreat, it was a personal, private place for her to visit when she felt uneasy, but she had come to trust and enjoy Sam’s company enough to share the location with her.
‘Shake, Rattle and Roll' by Bill Haley played on a small holotape device between the crack of gunfire and their voices, a little something Skye brought along for the sake of extra entertainment. She pushed some hair from her face and grinned at the other woman’s comment, then squinted so she could properly see the damage done to the innocent bottles that had been destroyed.
“Oh, c’mon,” she chided playfully, sliding her pistol into the back of her jeans before she walked ahead to set up more targets. “I’m always impressed! Maybe I can try throwing a few and see if you can hit ‘em then? Sounds like you need a little more of a challenge.”
