it's so weird to think about how some side characters in my everbeloved petekey lorebook still exist. with lives. they post on instagram. what do you mean the infamous deadstop (heychris) is posting story selfies on a plane with his new sunglasses ? he was only introduced as a character to antagonize pete and create more petekey angst...
Well, Season 2 of Enterprise deescalated quickly
by Ames
After an extremely underwhelming season one of Enterprise, your hosts here at A Star to Steer Her By were over the moon to see season two start out with some material that got us actually excited. New ideas? Character moments? Actual stakes? Was this season going to make up for the recycled ideas, boring premises, and missed opportunities of the first?
And then the season went immediately downhill with some of the worst Trek weâve seen since The Animated Series. Archer might be our pissiest captain to date. TâPol is so constantly sexualized that it makes our stomachs turn. Every time Mayweather tries to get a line, heâs conveniently injured so we donât need to have him appear in scenes. Are we being too hard on Enterprise? There is some good stuff, as youâll see below and in our discussion on this weekâs podcast episode (jump to 1:03:49) as we wrap the season with our usual top and bottom episodes, but weâre feeling frustrated. I guess we donât have faith of the heart.
look at the babies !

What is a dead stop deadlift? Deadstop training means coming to a full stop at the bottom of a deadlift, squat, bench press, and the like. However, when most lifters think of âdeadstop training,â they think of deadlifts and maybe a bench press movement. The dead stop deadlift is when doing deadlift reps the full weight of the bar is released onto the floor. With the touch-n-go deadlift the weight only touches the floor without the full weight of the bar being unloaded onto the floor before the next rep is started. Are dead stop deadlifts better? Reset deadlifts are better because they develop more strength at the bottom end range of motion. They also allow people to focus on their set-up and start position, allowing for higher levels of consistency throughout the movement Are Touch n Go deadlifts bad? Over time, the effects of doing touch-and-go deadlifts, and not developing adequate strength off the floor, will cause issues when you test your 1 rep max. If you're constantly used to getting a 'bounce' off the bottom, there will be no bounce available when pulling a single rep. Do you reset after every deadlift? âResetting between every rep can make sure you have maximal tension, you're in proper form, and every rep is coming from the best foundation set-up. In every exercise, the priority should be on quality over quantity and that's what resetting helps with.â KEY BENEFITS OF DEAD-STOP DEADLIFT; 1. Increased Strength With Reset Deadlifts 2. Increased Technique With Reset Deadlifts 3. Increased Specificity With Reset Deadlifts For any competitive powerlifter, doing reset deadlifts will increase your chance of being successful in competition. The goal of doing a competitive deadlift is to lift as much weight as possible for 1 rep. PERSONALLY, I DON'T LIKE DEAD-STOP DEADLIFT SIMPLY BECAUSE I LIKE TAPPING INTO ATP ENERGY SYSTEMS DURING MY LIFTS( ESPECIALLY HYPERTROPHY EXERCISE PROGRAMS) CONCLUSION: IT DEPENDS ON WHAT WORKS FOR YOUđ!!!
