1475 Het einde is beter

Het is de laatste bijeenkomst van de leergang EU ambassadeur en het is fijn om er weer bij te zijn. Door omstandigheden was ik afgehaakt, maar het is altijd goed om er een laatste dag wel te zijn, want zoals iedereen weet is het einde van een zaak beter dan haar begin. Prediker 7:8, zoals je weet een heel interessant hoofdstuk over de ware wijsheid.

Het is een aangenaam rustige dag. Dat is ook wel eens prettig na zo’n zwaar over de vis getild Jan Haring Weekend. Wie was die Jan eigenlijk? Het heeft mij jaren gekost voordat ik erachter kwam dat dat hele weekend niet over haring maar over paling ging. Jan Haring was een Hoornse matroos bij de Watergeuzen. Nieuwbouw De Haven vordert gestaag

Op de foto zijn de vorderingen te zien van de nieuwbouw op De Haven in Zaandam. Het plan bevindt zich tussen Havenstraat en Torneastraat.
