i don’t agree either but maybe because natori’s thoughts on the yuujinchou are that it should be destroyed (therefore destroying all the youkai named in it) whereas matoba would want to “use” it which is not great but doesn’t result in Mass Youkai Death. but like, natori would never follow thru anyway lol his conscience is Too Big
Yeah and also Natori destroying the book is such an extreme worst case scenario that’d only really occur under specific circumstances. I can be pretty suspicious of Natori due to my momma bear instincts towards Natsume but he’s no where near Matoba level shady.... like who knows exactly what he’d do with the book if he were to be in possession of it, but for sure it’s not going to be pretty, and the youkai within it will not be having fun...
