Stetson's -- A DC Experience
Went to Stetsons on U street last night. Had 4 spaten lagers, bill came and they were 8 bucks each plus tax and tip. What a steal!
I've heard from so many people that Stetson's is a "dive". Dives generally don't have 9 dollar beers. The jackers who wait in line at Ben's to get hormel chili probably love Stetson's cause its "authentic".
Darkest Form of Humanity
Two mediocre people, finding each other via kickball in DC. From the New York Times Wedding Section:

Pasta Mia
Me: So I've heard of a place called Pasta Mia that is supposed to be good.
Out of Town Friend: Oh yeah? Who said it was good?
Me: Well every time I walk by it I see tons of people outside. A lot of people in DC says its really good.
Out of Town Friend: So what does that mean?
Me: A consensus of DC botchers says its really good. That means it's gonna be overpriced pasta loaded with cheese and swimming in sauce. There will be a bunch of jackers in suits thinking they are eating at a "real eye-talian restaurant."
We arrive and we sit down. Pasta $18 a plate, and there is a girl sitting next to me in a pencil skrit with a blazer. In front of her is a giant plate of ravioli drowning in cream sauce. We got up and left.

Best quote was from Tim Russert's son, “In Buffalo, it’s the sport teams. . . . Whereas in D.C., yeah, we root for our teams, but we’re much more defined by the brainpower in our city, the politics, the gentrification, the think tanks, the programs. In a town that has so much opportunity, the sports kind of get marginalized.”
Ah yes, the "brainpower" meaning busted chicks that believe their changing the world at think tanks, and yuppies living in cookie cutter condos.
One shout out is to David Gregory, who usually shills for anyone with power, actually didn't become a DC fan after living her for such a long time.
