#dca headcanons

Just some short and sweet headcanons for moon lovers.

Moon really enjoys running his fingers through your hair, even if you have short hair. It'll even massage your scalp, but He'll have to remind himself to be gentle since his hand is so big. They like seeing you relaxed, about as much as it likes seeing you all freaked out.

Moon loves to scare you, likes making you jump and startling you. He'll get all omniously giggly, staying just out of sight. You'll hear the jingle of his bells and turn, but they will be out of sight. He'll pop out of nowhere, dropping down from his cord. Its favorite thing of all time is when he gets you completely off guard, and you let out a squeak or scream of fear. If you're the type to fight and you accidently kick or go to slap him, it will just avoid it or won't be affected by it. If anything, they might be a touch concerned if you hurt yourself trying to hurt them.

Moon can/will share Sun and Eclipse with you. They are separate conciousnesses but share a body in this, and they love you and each other. Moon is easily jealous if you spend too much time with either and neglect him.

Moon doesn't like it when you nap the whole time when you see it. They want to poke at you and play those little spooky games with you, but if you need sleep, he'll let you. It will be a little unnerving maybe because they'll just stare at you the whole time. It's probably best to see Eclipse for that kind of help.

Moon goes by he/him/it/its/they/them pronouns. In all honesty, they don't care what pronouns you use on it, but that is what most people refer to it as.

like he's just there watching with you and sun, and sun is like anxiously curled up against you (totally not an excuse to cuddle what you're crazy)

and then moon's just like

"Why would they knowingly wander into the depths? ..Foolish. That is where what you fear hides. Everyone knows this. But then again. Fear does make people do..interesting things." (slow turn)

Woah! An ask not from one of the usuals! YAHOOO!!!

Anyways, hmmmmmmmm that's a good question. Tbh I haven't really thought of headcanons in SO LONG. Kinda sad :[

But when I really think about it... I really like headcanons that have the DCA acting like animals y'know?

Obviously Moon is a cat

And because of that! I'd like to think that with stuff he has attachment to or really likes [like Sun :3] he's protective and/or territorial :]

And he dislikes water. See that I said dislike and not hate? Yeah cuz he knows that he has to clean himself so he's ok with water in that context. But if you were to spray him with water he's hissing and running away. Sigh. I love that creature <3

For Sun... See, I get that people make him like a dog [mostly a golden retriever or something] but is he really a dog? Probably. But idk I'm not an animal expert so what type of dog? Who knows.

Another thing! These guys definitely purr. I'm one of those freaks that likes them being able to purr. Makes cuddles even more comfortable :3

Anyways, Sun is definitely stressed most of the time and I love him like that. Cuz then! CUZ THEN!! Moon gets to comfort him after a long day of work.

And, something extra, so y'know Gregory? Yeah so these two hate Gregory. Well, Moon is just annoyed by Gregory and doesn't necessarily mind him being around. But Sun, oh boy, Sun definitely holds grudges and NEVER lets go. Sun hates that child with all of his mechanical heart.

Anyways, that's all the headcanons I have off the top of my head. I have some more but they're Sun x Moon related and I don't know if you also wanna know about those so... Yeah.

Wouhhhhh super late to this sorry but uh hmmmmm let's see what do I got here...

Quirks

• sun - I think he's got slight vocal tics! Mostly in the form of these odd little hum-chuckles that are easily slipped into gaps and ends and sentences so he can kinda hide them, but if you focus hard enough you can tell they're tics

• moon - I think he's the most easily overstimulated of the trio. On a surface level, he seems pretty much just as touchy as the other two, but if you've got your hands on him a little too long he'll start to squirm and may need some hands-off time

• eclipse - I think one of their favorite nicknames for children is "little one". This alternates with "little girl" and "little boy" as applicable but they like "little one" and they mean it with so much love. They have so much care for all their little ones

Hobbies

• sun - I really think he'd like puzzles. He's spent wayyyyyy too much time in a certain kind of monotony and REALLY needs some higher-level enrichment. I like to imagine he becomes 'friends' with an employee who really likes riddles, and when they have time they'll exchange riddles back and forth

• moon - I think he likes music and I think he likes to sing :] he likes to rhyme and he's quite good at coming up with little songs on the spot
