I should not care about a show that ended many years ago, nor of a couple that probably was never supposed to be together, yet, I shall persist to do so until my mind is settled.

I'm in the chokehold of old art and starting something new.
Do you think people remember all the art they created? Do you think they remember all the little doodles they leave behind?
One of my favorite artists is no longer active on here, which is fine and I hope all the best of them, yet, I can't help but cry about all their efforts they left behind.
I was looking at their artwork and I remember seeing and loving them in the hay day, the simpler time of 2016, where the show was new to us and the possibilities were endless, all of our joy a collective and poetic breathless dedication of the cosmos.
When I look back on them now, I'm filled with this deep ache I've had against my heart for years now. Why do I feel so old when I look at their art? Is it because I'm no longer that person?
I'm trying to find myself and I cannot stop wishing I knew who that was or supposed to be.
An unforgivable emptiness that stretches on after I see old art, long forgotten to the tests of time, tucked inside a dusty sketchbook in a garage sale years from now.
I love seeing the art, but it always reminds me of what I'm not.
After all, who am I without it?
