R.I.P. Dazenah DâAlessio
25 Colussus 1306 - 3 Scion 1329
Day 8 of the Scion, 1329 [Iesus messiah ut, me decantus] [Iesus messiah ut, me decantus...] The children sang on as people silently wept around the caskets. There was a medium sized crowd for the five fallen fighters. Dazenah DâAlessio laid in one of those five. Civilians and fellow soldiers had gathered. The priest had spoken already. Most people stepped up to speak by then. She needed to do something... Something in honor of the woman whoâs death brought her back to life. There was no music, save what was in her heart. Debora looked up to the sky, her fallen friendâs staff in her hand. She began to sing... âNever seen a bluer sky. Yeah, I can feel it reaching out and moving closer. There's something about blue...â Her eyes fell to the people in front of her. The ones who would live on to die one day. Some sooner than later. Some willingly... some not so much. âAsked myself what it's all for. You know the funny thing about it? I couldn't answer No I couldn't answer...â Thoughts ran through her mind. Filled with faces of fallen people. Friends, family, each of their lives compacting on top of her previous experiences. âThings have turned a deeper shade of blue. And images that might be real, may be illusion ...Keep flashing off and on.â One deep breath for those who would take no more. âFree!â A sound for those who could make no more. âWanna be free!â A cry for those who would never know their worth. âGonna be free!â A song for those who would reside only in memories from here forward. âAnd move among the stars You know they really aren't so far.â This was a song of the fallen. A she felt Zenah would sing upon release. She was that kind of spirit. These were all fighting spirits, That kind of force to be reckoned with. âFeels so free! Gotta know free! Please... Don't wake me from the dream It's really everything it seemed I'm so free. No black and white in the blue.â Echoes of cries from the families flowed from her own mouth. Musical wailing was all her own as she remembered the loved ones they lost. As her own heart broke, the only solace she could receive was the song itself. âFree! Iâm So Free!â The call of her friend. The words of the dead. Free from pain. Free to dwell in mists and memory. Her voice became quieter. Her energy was sapped. Her eyes were wet, her tears would not dry soon. She stood up straight. Everything was going to be fine soon... âEverything is clearer now. Life is just a dream, you know? Itâs never ending. ...I'm ascending...â

Neekoâs Rant
After finishing helping Zenah take a female human sized plate chest piece, and wrapping it with it with cloth to make a makeshift punching bag Neeko begins to punch wildly at it. In the midst of her wild punches she was ranting. She had just read Bruceâs journal and was angry, upset, confused, and all sorts of other unhappy emotions. She needed to just get it out.
âWhy didnât he ask for help, he knew we would help him fight off Mordremoth, but no he had to go bloody well get himself killed on purpose. Stupid Bookah, why didnât he ask for help. We helped him with the bounty hunter and he said he would help us in that journal. Why did he do something so stupid?â
Zenah was nearby eating whatever food she could find and adjusting the punching bag as needed. She sat quietly listening to Neeko rant, knowing very well what the Asura needed to do.
Even with all the cloth on the chest piece, Neekoâs knuckles were getting a bit sore, but she didnât care. âWhy did he do it? He was stronger than he thought. I canât believe he would  do that. He left Shephard, he left the team.. After all that help we gave him, he let us down. I know what it is like to have something in your head telling you to do something.â
Neeko took a deep breath before continuing her rant and punching, âBut he could have fought it. I couldnât do a thing to help him. I couldnât save him.. He didnât have to do something so stupid though. Why would he let some random stranger take over his body.â
âThat is beyond idiocy! What would have happened if the person that took over was evil. It could have been a disaster. The evil person could have got people to hate Sylvari more than they already do. Bruce I hate you right now, you are so stupid. But I miss you⌠I donât want some random dude in your body. If you were gonna die, you should have let your body die too. How can I accept a person in your body.â
Neekoâs punches began to slow, her knuckles a bit raw,  âHe may look like you, but he will never be you. I want you back.. I donât want to fail⌠I almost lost my best friend, I pushed my brother away so much, I didnât need to lose you. I.. I..â
The pinked haired Asuraâs punches stopped as she fell to her knees, and tears flowed down. âBruce, if you can hear me, I know you werenât weak. You could have fought off Mordremoth. I wish you were still here. I could have helped you fight off the influence. I might not have known necromancy, but you could have got better. I know Iâm not a very good mesmer, but I will get better.â
She closes her eyes for a moment, before getting up and walking outside she stood at the edge of the cliff area and looked at the vines, and yelled, âI swear, by the eternal alchemy, Mordremoth, you bloody piece of shit will die. You will pay for all the pain and anguish you have caused.â
With that said Neeko went back inside. She knew now, she couldnât let Bruce doing something stupid hold her back any more. The pink haired Asura sat down on her bed roll. Her heart and mind had not been in the fight with Mordremoth. She had been too upset about losing Bruce. She hadnât wanted to be there.
Neeko took a deep breath, letting it out slowly looking at the rest of her teammates. She quietly thought to herself, she couldnât lose anyone else. They were off to fight a dragon, a creature so fierce it turned sylvari against comrades, allies, friends, brothers, and sisters. She finally realized she couldnât be all mopey, like she had been.
A realization, like a boulder hitting her in the head, finally made her realize the stakes, they faced. She mourned his death for too long, already. With her so unfocused her teammates, friends, and own brother could have been seriously wounded or died. With new resolve and vigor in her eyes she turned to Alert. Â âAlert Defensive Operation ST-047â
Alert beeped and stood near Neeko as she curled up and took out her stuffed quaggan and fell asleep. She was hoping to finally get a good rest for once, but who knows what will happen in the jungle. For all she knows she will have to wake up in 5 minutes to fight Mordrem. But one thing she knew was after a nice rest she was gonna start giving it her all. Perhaps she would train her mesmer abilities better, even perhaps ask Mokjie, if they would want to work on mesmer skills together. But that was a thought for another time, now was time to sleep.
From accompanying the dead to battling back death.

Met a Pit Fighter named Salem. Might be a a few things to pick up from there.
