These kinds of guys also tend to be the ones that love the idea of a “darker/grittier” Luke because they kind of like real Luke but only when he’s angry, otherwise he’s kinda lame. That’s why RO put in cool but ultimately unneeded scenes with Vader in RO, because they needed to “fix” him. That’s why Yoda talked to Luke and not Anakin. That’s why Padme hasn’t even been mentioned. They just want to portray that era as “wrong,” and don’t realize that people have accepted it as part of the universe 

Oh, don’t even get me started on that stupid puppet, EVERYTHING about that scene was ridiculous and insulting, and when Yoda asked Luke if he actually read the (what, 6?) Jedi books and he grimaced I wanted to scream. Luke Skywalker’s mission was to restore the Jedi and he loved being a Jedi, why wouldn’t he read books about the Jedi, why is everything in this movie set to insult people who want to think about it for more than 5 seconds, I hate Rian Johnson so much. neal was fourteen when he arrived in neverland. beyond that we have no clear proof of his age. at all. the wanted poster which puts neal at twenty-four cannot be taken as canon, because everything else on that poster, up to and including neal’s name, is a lie. if you choose to take the wanted poster as canon, then all other dates presented on the show (including erroneous ones such as the newspaper emma reads in episode two, or rumple’s heart monitor in season three), must hold true, as well. and we know for a fact that they don’t.

if neal was in fact an adult while emma was seventeen, that is an issue with the ship and the writing, and one i don’t take lightly. but the difference between emma’s relationships with neal and h00k is that neal is never let off the hook (no pun intended) for his betrayal of emma. they talk about their issues. they don’t brush them under the rug or claim “it’s all in the past now.” neal makes it clear to emma (and henry, for that matter), that he knows he has to earn his place in her life, and that he’s not entitled to forgiveness. h00k, on the other hand, did everything he could to keep his murder of robert a secret from emma, he never told her he sold a young neal and prince eric out for a literal inanimate object, and when the truth finally came out about the former murder, he allowed emma to blame herself for “not making it easy for him to tell her the truth.”

these are facts that point to h00k being an abuser. nothing any other character says or does will erase these facts from existence. so if you have a problem with me putting h00k on the same level as k*lo and sn*pe, maybe think about blacklisting the anti tags for your faves, and ignoring posts that don’t pertain to you.

This is the biggest problem with the newest trilogy, there is no direction. It seems like each director is just allowed to do whatever the fuck they want with no story mapped out. Without George Lucas at least behind the scenes to craft a story arc or at least following his original plans, this series feels hollow. 

George Lucas was a shitty director and dialogue writer, but his story arcs were good. The prequels had a clear story arc which one could see a lot of potential in and the OT story arc is amazing. Without someone behind the scenes doing that this feels cheap AF.

This really made me start to think about the DCEU people who were theorizing that Disney was paying off critics to give even the mediocre Marvel movies good reviews. At first I was figuring that they were just bitter, but now I'm not so sure

Do what Louis Sachar did. Sell the rights, but make sure to write the film yourself and keep significant creative control. That’s how we got a perfect Holes movie.
