Panicked was right, Theo knew very well how she sometimes affected vampires, getting so tired of existing and being unchanging that sometimes they did truly idiotic things - worse even than him during some of his most oppressive periods of depression. He hadn’t known James to do something like that - well, not for a very long time anyway. But still the smaller man sat atop his friend, brother, and wasn’t inclined to move. He stared down, “Not until you explain yourself!” Theo snapped in a tone that had moved from panicked, to the stern tones he had used to issue orders aboard ship.
It would be easy for the vampire to dislodge him, James was a great deal stronger than he was, and Theo’s grip on the man loosened when he gazed at James’ exposed face. He blinked a few times and Theo’s brow furrowed. Without it a word he reached forward to turn the vampire’s face and get a better look, no way had James gone and boiled up any silver. No that couldn’t have been done in secret - not to mention the vampire had been perfectly clear no such things would ever happen. “I don’t get it it.”
Norrington grunted as the very concerned, very frightened fae insisted in a frantic tone that he explained himself. The vampire took a breath he didn't need and pulled the coat away, and found Theodore scrutinizing him. Inspecting his slightly scruffy face. Yet, James still had that pallor to him and the vivid eyes that held the frightening monster he could be when he was hungry.
Yet, after centuries of bare skin, there was a facial hair starting, and whats this.. he even had a TRIM!
Then came the un mistakeable fangs as he chuckled. "I'm not quite certain myself how it's possible, however, I do have a hunch it has something to do with having a kryptonian as the occasional snack. " while that sounds sexual, he actually meant it in a literal sense. He lifts Theo off with ease. While not quite as strong as Clark, preternatural strength was nothing to sneeze at.
James set Theodore down next to him and stands up , in direct sunlight from the door. And while it did feel hotter than it probably did to Theo, James did not start to smoke or singe as he had for centuries.
Theo’s feathery small body was flat on his back, wings out spread like small solar panels. He was perfectly fine, just enjoying that his glossy feathers soaked up the warm sun. When he heard the door of James’ home open he at first didn’t do any more than crack open one eye and tilt his head toward the sound in case there was a danger of being stepped on.
A familiar step that he could recognize even when dead asleep however jolted the dozing fey to full wakefulness, ‘James’ Theo cried i a panicked tone and at the same time both morphed back to his human shape and kept forward to tackle the poor vampire. James didn’t outweigh him by much and Theo was frantically throwing his coat that he’d shrugged off over the man and trying to bustle him back inside. “What’re you doing?! What’s gotten into your head! You’re not even supposed to be awake what’re you thinking coming out here! There’s not even a damn cloud up there!”
It was surely madness for a vampire to open the door in the middle of the day, let alone step out. Yet, here James Norrington, 300+ year old vampire was clearly about to do so.
That was, until he found himself tackled by a very concerned fae. Grunting with a "NO!" before he could stop Theodore, he was tackled ,with the man's coat thrown over his head.
"....."
James reached up to pry the coat off his head, and the man that looked back at Theodore had a five-o-clock shadow. Something James has been unable to grow in centuries.
" I appreciate your fervor, Theodore, however I.. have something I really must show you, if.. you'd be so kind as to get off me. "
The fae must think he's lost his mind, he skims over Theo's thoughts, to see what was running through the panicked bird. Oh, he wanted to play with him, a prank since his younger brother always loved to pull them on him.
