Today is Day 1 of The Days Between, August 1st through 9th. Jerry Garcia was born on August 1, 1942, and died on August 9, 1995. The days are named for the Grateful Dead’s song of the same name, “Days Between.” First performed in 1993, it’s one of the final songs to come from Jerry and his lyricist Robert Hunter. The song is full of nostalgia and longing — a fitting soundtrack to honor Jerry’s life.

It’s the Days Between and I’m feeling so reminiscent on the good times I’ve had over the years!
Got this pipe at Dead & Co Alpine Valley ‘16. First out of state show and it was the day of my 18th birthday :) I had a lot of anxiety on the bus to WI and my bottle of peach schnapps broke and leaked all over my backpack. I’m so shy so I didn’t speak to people much but I want to make an effort to be more social and speak to more heads ❤️ whenever shows get rescheduled. But seriously I’m so shy it hurts sometimes 😭 how can I truly be free when I’m always holding myself back? I’m ready to live 🤗 🙂🤙🏼 😌
