THE FALL OF ROME AND THE DEATH OF THE MIDDLE CLASS (Part 2)
Historians have noted George Washington’s interest in the parcel not only for its proximity to Washington’s home, Mount Vernon, but also for its vantage point over the Potomac and most especially for the symbolism and correlation to Ancient Roman. Our Founding Fathers were fascinated with Ancient Greek and Roman History. Thus the correlation to the title “The Fall of Rome” for the “American Dream” is following the same historical path as the collapse of the Roman Empire. The “Great American Experiment” is being eroded from within by elite forces who are eating away at the foundation of our country and our economy.
