Today's post will be about "Coach" Scott Landerville. In a short story, I just want to share a few words about this older gentleman. He had the power to give to others and he certainly used it for the people who he gave guidance to, not only as a coach in sports, but also in life. Definitely blessed to have known this gentleman who walked me out of a dark situation in my life and challenged me to take responsibility for my own actions. Thanks to you and all the father figures, uncle figures, big brother figures, and friends I've been fortunate enough to receive guidance from — I am much better today than I would've been. I speak on behalf of countless other lives in the community we shared when I say that the greatest gift you ever gave us was your love & care for us. You will be missed deeply and I hope you enjoy your new seat to watch all of us play the game of life with more tenacity. This one's personal. We're gonna give you the extra effort beyond 100% that you deserve. Thank you for everything you've done for us. Thank you for never giving up on us and for helping us be the better people you believed we could be. Thank you for supporting my work. I'm gonna miss us bagging on each other, and the only White guy at my church.
