Met up this girl and she suggested we’d go to a bookstore and pick out a book for each other🥰🥰
o my god, i'm so stressed. i have date with awesome girl in few days and i have no idea what am i doing, what should i wear, how i should i behave, what should i expect.
i don't wanna let her down but i'm scared, because. it's like my first date ever and im 21 yo and it' kinda embarrassing and god please save me
So...
I saw this and inmediatly think about this dude I was hanging with. Whenever he was busy or at work he send voice messages, one day he apologized for giving me short answers when he was rushing at work, I told him he doesn't have to answer if he have no time to it, it was all fine for me, but he said "nah, you deserve that I give my time to reply you"
And
Then he stop talking to me, and months later text to tell me he kept seeing his ex girlfriend the hole time we date, that he still love her but she have just married someone else.
Fuck that shit. Trust no one.

The Global Date
Ahh I’m so excited! So much so that I’ve been waiting all week to write this post. Why you ask? Because this date idea is easily my favourite idea of all time; at least out of the dates I’ve written about. However, like all good things it's going to take some time to complete. Like, a lot of time. But you and your partner are going to have so much fun along the way, you might not ever want it to end. Ok, ok, I’m hyping it up way too much. Without further ado, I give you the Global date.
The Date
Now before your bank account starts crying, no, this date idea does not consist of you and your significant other flying all around the world (although it might feel like it eventually). Now, notice how I said ‘you and your significant other’. This is indeed a date for couples as it will take some time to complete. Its more of a couples project than a couples date, since it will be ongoing (unless you decide to reset). So to everyone reading this post, I do not recommend you do this for date night #3. In fact, I would wait until you two are officially a couple before attempting this idea. It’s going to take some time to finish, and should not be rushed. I would say start this ‘date project’, and then leave it on the back burner. That way, if you're ever in a situation where you have nothing planned for Saturday night, you can just add to your “Global Date”. No planning required! I mean, its not that easy but you get the picture. So let's get into what you need to do first.
Firstly, you need to acquire a map of the world. No, not one of those fancy map with all the longitude points, 3D mountain ranges, and coloured countries based on GDP. All I want from you is a simple, white, two dimensional map of the world. The only other requirement is that it needs to be fairly large. Around double or triple the size of your average 8x11 sheet of paper. The reason is simple, you’re going to need to easily see majority of the countries. I also highly recommend you putting it somewhere easily accessible, or even on a wall (more fun if its on a wall). What works perfectly is those scratch maps that you can buy. You know, the ones where you scratch in the country that you've visited, because that's essentially what you and your partner are going to do.
The idea heard around the world
Ok, I have my fairly large, white map of the world, what now? What comes next is fairly simple. You and your partner are going to eat. And that's all this date is. Be it New York Fries, the new Italian restaurant down the street, or Chinese take out, you are going to get food somewhere, and when you return to your map, you are going to colour in (or scratch) the country from which your food originated from. Tai express? You're going to colour in Thailand. Just finished a shawarma meal? It's time to colour in Turkey. You and your significant other are going to try and colour as many new countries as possible! This is why I said it would take so long, because there are so many countries out there, so many new foods to try. My mouth is watering just thinking about completing this date. And it doesn't end there, because you could make a game out of this. Challenge yourself and commit to eating from a new place on the map every week! Or even challenge another couple to see who can colour in the most countries in a months time. Are you a social butterfly? Post your map to social media, bragging to your friends and family all the different foods you've tried. Its great because not only are you eating amazing food from all over the world, but you'll be learning about the country from the restaurant you decide to go to. But wait there's more! You could even print out maps of different countries, and indulge in different foods from different states/provinces/areas etc.
Now obviously you are going to get to a point where it's going to be hard to find a restaurant from every section of the globe. My suggestion to you is do your best, and search around. This is why I said keep this idea on the back burner. You could be travelling somewhere that has a specific countries restaurant not local to you. It's best not to rush it (unless you’re racing someone), so take your time and enjoy all the fine foods the world has to offer.
Wrap Up
And that's it, the Global Date. Yes it has a lot to do with food, and that was my primary focus for this date. This is meant to be a fun way to experience well, brand new experiences! And I understand how you could substitute food with something else from that countries culture, but I think focusing on food is the best and most delicious way to go about this date idea. It's going to be so much fun colouring in each country, and I hope you think so as well. I wish you the best of luck completing your maps with your special someone.
Remember, make every date a story.
