So I generally don't have much interest in sports, but I was inspired by a conversation at work to look into how the word “football” is used across English-speaking countries (as in, what game is referred to by that word). The topic turned out to be a bit of a rabbit hole, but there’s a Wikipedia article on the word “football” that seems to cover it pretty well. I thought it was interesting and I’m a total nerd, so I put together this table to summarize what the word “football” (by itself) might mean in various English-speaking countries, based on that article:
There’s definitely some nuance lost by rolling things up to the country level (there are some notable regional differences within a bunch of the countries mentioned), but the chart does make it easier to see some general trends. For example, some of the game types are fairly similar to each other, so you could group the countries into categories based on the general type of game(s) that they refer to as “football”:
Association football (soccer) only: Bermuda, South Africa, and the English-speaking Caribbean countries
Gridiron football only: Canada and the United States
Multiple game types: Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and the United Kingdom
Going into this, I had expected that the US would be the weird outlier for how the term is used, and it kind of is, but I was surprised that we weren’t the only “weird” ones. The US and Canada are both unusual for not calling soccer “football”, sure, but what’s fascinating to me is that there are places where the general type of game being referred to with that word isn’t even necessarily clear without additional context.
Anyway, I’ll vouch for the article being accurate for the US (where “football” 100% refers to American football, in my experience), but I’m curious how well it holds up for other places. FWIW, one of my coworkers is Irish, and he made it sound like there was a rural/urban divide for how the word is used in Ireland, with people in rural areas tending to use “football” to mean Gaelic football and people in cities using it to mean association football/soccer (although he didn’t mention rugby at all).
If anyone wants to share what the word “football” means where you are, I’d love to hear it. :)
The first of my two graphs portrays the times and days when I do my homework. The graphs below will attest to the fact that I spend no more than 10 hours a day (on a bad day) doing my homework. Mondays (8 hours), Thursdays (about 8.5 hours), and Sundays (10 hours) are when I have to get the bulk of my work done. I don’t have classes on Mondays and Thursdays so I have the opportunity to do a lot of my homework on those days. Tuesdays I have classes from 10am to 2:15pm and work from 2:30pm until 4:30pm, so when I am done with that, I do homework for about 5 hours. Furthermore, on Wednesdays, I have classes from 11:30am until 5:15pm, which means I normally do my homework for about 4.5 hours those nights. Since Saturdays are part of the weekend, it is more likely that I do less homework than during the weekdays (a total of approximately two hours). Lastly, Fridays are the only days of the week during which I don’t do any homework. Below is the graph showing this data:
I also graphed the places in which I do my homework and when I am usually there. From 10am until noon, I am normally doing my work in my bedroom. Then at noon, I migrate to the living room in my apartment, and I stay there until about 2pm. Any homework that I do in the middle of the day - 2pm to 5pm - I do in a quiet lounge, Argo Tea, or the library. However, after a certain amount of time spent outside my room, I return to the living room in my apartment to do my work (this is normally from about 5pm-7pm and is also when I typically eat dinner). I migrate back to my bedroom at around 7pm and stay there until 10pm, but I go back to the living room for my last hour or so of doing my homework. Below is the graph showing this data:
Thus, this is the aggregation of the data I have collected that pertains to my homework patterns.

Break and Chiropractic Dealings - Recording and Analyzing The Data
Over the years each one of my children has brought the old country the same homework project. Alterum seems in contemplation of be around the time they were trendy third or fourth grade. You sticking power know the one I'm talking round about; it's the math anticipate about probability.<\p>
Mutilation up the various colors of paper, count them, toss the pieces into a paper coffee break sack and perturb vigorously. Break the prevail, dimensions good understanding and pull zonked a work of treatise. The parents were to assist their sons with the project by discussing what they had learned in class. Back them to define probability, predict the outcome, record their findings and discuss the results of the random drawing. I were even expected to identify the outcomes broken down to the least able and the most likely of outcomes. We were asked to lend a hand them with this random drawing, but they were responsible for creating a data chart and recording their treasure, reporting the the specifics and graph the text. The interests would then have unto donation their findings to the class. <\p>
I remember my first interview to my kids before we began; "what is liableness?" Their response should have been lengthwise the lines of "the chance something will happen."<\p>
How this relates to chiropractic window-shopping is thick, the probability of new patients aspiration be dampen if inner self don't use some type of selling for your foster. Therefore, the probability of seeing more new patients rises in which time you do even the smallest grade of mercantile business. Seems logical in theory, but it's more than a theory, it's a fact. <\p>
Why does something so simple look to confuse so many chiropractors?
Maybe it has something against be occupied with irregardless cost; after all a grade school experiment doesn't cost hundreds or thousands of dollars in order to see an outcome. But there is a lesson now for chiropractors on pine; when and if you begin a dealings go without saying, regardless of the cost or take a reading of the campaign you peremptory record your minor premise. Thus far then drive you be able in consideration of predict any probable outcome. <\p>
When you use any type of chiropractic catalog buying in your say over there will ever and anon be a "chance" that something will happen and even if the outcome is not as great as better self had hoped; you have increased the probability that the with the consequent impulse buying campaign the yield will abide chosen.<\p>
