DARYL - "Tat, I hope you realized what you did down there tonight with Grams."

TATSUO - "Yes, I do. She is your grandmother. She raised you. She adores you! I wanted her to know she is ALWAYS welcome, and if that means living here, then so be it. You have family, Daryl. I have acquaintances that I call Mother, Sister and Father. I hope you realize just how lucky you are."

RAQUEL - "What about Kel?"

DARYL - "We just hired a live in Nanny, he moves in on Monday."

RAQUEL - "A Nanny? Seriously? I see where I fit in. I raised your father as well as you and your brother, and even assisted with raising Ty, and you hire a NANNY !??"

DARYL - "We needed someone full time, so that is why we hired a live in Nanny."

RAQUEL - "You could have asked me. So that means your third bedroom is full now, right?"

DARYL- Unfortunately, yes. I am sorry Grams. We just didn't think..."

Meet Kelvin.

Kelvin has been living with Daryl and Tatsuo for the last 14 months as a foster child. But just two weeks ago it became official. Kelvin was legally adopted and legally is now Kelvin Pence. His adjustment really wasn't difficult, as he had lived here for so long already. He knew now he would finally have a real family here with his new dads Daryl and Tatsuo, not just a temporary one.

However, his fathers decided it was time that they have help with the daily care of Kelvin and they put an ad out for an Nanny. They had interviewed several, but none quite measured up to what Kelvin, Daryl and Tat were looking for. One last interviewee was to meet later today with Tatsuo. Hopefully this would be the one!

Henry Julian had arrived. At least he arrived on time for the interview. That's a plus in his favor. Tat invited him in and soon the interview will start.

The weekend came, and with it visits from family!!!

TY - "Uncle Daryl! MY favorite uncles!! Tat and Daryl! have missed you!"

DARYL - "We are your only uncles, Ty."

TY - "Well, yeah there is that."

Everyone caught up with one another. Daryl was still in disbelief that his nephew Ty was starting High School in the fall.

And Tat could not get over how good Maren looked. She had not aged at all.

But Lyric and Kel just kind of stared at each other without making a sound... until

KEL - "You want to meet Eugene?"

When Daryl got home from work, he decided they should celebrate.

TATSUO- "You seem very happy."

DARYL - "I am happy. I have you and Kel and our new home here in San Sequoia and look in the mirror with me, who do you see?"

TATSUO - "I see an extremely handsome, confident and intelligent man. Was I supposed to see something else?"

DARYL - "Well you are looking at the new Director of Communications for the firm. I got a bonus and a big pay increase, and 3 more days of vacation! "

TATSUO - "DARYL!! That is awesome! Congratulations!"

DARYL- "It would just be way too crowed here Grams, and with the nanny..."

RAQUEL - "Never mind, Daryl, I see how it is."

DARYL - "Grams, please don't take it personal, I didn't mean it that way...

TATSUO - "What's going on? Why or what are you being personal about Daryl?"

DARYL - "Grams wanted to move in and help us with Kel, but I told her we hired a live in Nanny."

TATSUO - "What's that have to do with Grams moving in?"

DARYL - "We have no more bedrooms? And we have Henry now."

TATSUO - "So? Grams could help around the house, especially cooking now that you got that promotion. Plus, Kel would love it. I think we should go with it."

DARYL - "And where would she sleep?"

TATSUO - "We have that office space upstairs. Grams could have that room, I mean you aren't working from home anymore, so it's free to become a bedroom."

RAQUEL - "Someone still cares about Grams around here. Thank you Tatsuo, you are a good grandson!!"

Chad and his family were leaving already. It seemed too soon. It was right after Raquel arrived.

MAREN- "So Raquel, we are heading out now. You going to be home soon?"

RAQUEL - "Yes, sometime later this evening. I want to visit with Daryl and Tatsuo, and get to know my new great grandson."

MAREN - "Now don't be too long, you know how hard it is for you driving at night."

With that, Chad and His family headed back to Newcrest.

RAQUEL - "Finally they are gone, I really need to talk to you Daryl"

DARYL- "Is everything okay?"

RAQUEL - "No, I cannot live there with them anymore. I know it's my home, but it doesn't seem like my home anymore. Just too much noise and confusion. I am going to sign the house over to Chad, but I need somewhere to live. I was hoping that you and Tat would be able to accommodate me."

DARYL - "Are you serious, Gram?"

RAQUEL - "Yes I am serious; you just don't know what it is like there. They treat me like a child. You heard her. Telling me to be careful and come home soon! Plus, if I moved here, I could help take care of Kel."

TATSUO - "Say, Kel, while me and Dad D clean up, why not take Henry downstairs and see your room and introduce him to Eugene."

KELVIN - "Eugene is my hamster. My dads got him for me when I turned ten. I think you will like him."

HENRY - "Eugene seems very nice and you have given him a good home."

KELVIN - "Yeah, he is pretty lucky. Just like me."

HENRY - "You certainly are, Kel. Both Daryl and Tat seem like very loving and caring men. They will be amazing dads to you!"

KELVIN - "May I ask something personal?"

HENRY - "I suppose if I may be your caregiver, I want to be an open book. So what would you like to know?"

KELVIN - "Are you like my Dads? You know gay?"

HENRY - (chuckling) I thought that may have been your question. Yes, I am but I am currently single, and not looking."

While Henry and Kel were getting to know one another, Daryl and Tatsuo were upstairs sharing what their impressions were of Henry.

TATSUO - "He has a degree in child psychology and he seems to do well communicating with Kel. Plus, he can relate to him."

DARYL - "I agree, I liked him as well. Very smart guy. I say yes. But we should make sure Kel feels the same way."
