I think pretty much everyone, even us BB shippers, believe we will see Sun/SSSN again when RWBY gets to Vacuo, but watch CRWBY troll everyone and Sun/SSSN only show up briefly for the final fight or not at all while RWBY is in Vacuo. I would laugh my ass off.

bumbleb/y is one of the most important relationships in the entire show, hell itâs formed the crux of Blake and Yangâs development since the end of volume 3. it is deliberately paralleled and/or given similar romantic beats to every other important romantic relationship in the show (Tai/Raven, Tai/Summer, Oz/Salem, Ren/Nora, Jaune/Pyrrha), they have a literal villain haunting both of them with them both being the ones to take him down being the obvious outcome (to anyone paying attention and not blinded by hatred) and itâs clear that even when they were apart that Blake and Yang were thinking about each other
and theyâre trying to compare that with âhe was a boy who stalked a girl and wouldnât leave her alone but nothing happened despite that they were alone for a long time, heâs specifically referred to as a âfriendâ and his sole interaction with Adam has him placed as âclassmateâ, when Adam had previously referred to Yang as someone Blake âlovesââ
or theyâre trying to force mono/chrome or lady/bug in there like - those have zero buildup. the romance has to feel earned, six years+ of development for bumbleb/y? thatâs earned. these other empty and undeveloped ships which are not given near the same level of importance? not gonna happen
especially as we literally just had Miles on RW this week saying heâs very conscious of unintentionally putting things in there and sending the wrong message and theyâve previously demonstrated awareness of potentially doing something shitty with LGBT characters and put a stop to it
so that theyâve been doubling down on the bee moments, putting obvious focus on them and the buildup to them finally talking things out and reconciling, and the inevitable clash with Adam? when theyâre fully aware of how popular the ship is? yeah, itâs happening - like can imagine the backlash if they didnât do it at this point? leading the audience on only to pull an unearned âtwistâ romance at the last second? itâd be the shittiest move in the century
but of course monanon here wants them to do that, wants them to be shitty people because their preferred ship (whichever it happens to be - they flip between the three at random) would be canon instead

I'm not the only one who gets disgusted and irrationally irritated when seeing Blake and/or Yang paired with a man, am I? Like, Yang is a lesbian, so big nope, and Blake after what happened with Adam? Yeah, no, she's done with men.
I mean, Yang has zero (0) significant relationships with men outside of her father and uncle, so I get irrationally irritated about people shipping her men just because thereâs no basis for it at all and I just donât understand shipping characters together when they donât even have an actual relationship in the show.
And for Blake, I donât like either of her ships with men that have a canon basis, though one is significantly worse than the other, so I also get irrationally irritated about shipping her with a random guy sheâs never even had an actual conversation with.

Has anyone brought up the possibility that maybe Maria is Summer's mom/Ruby's grandmother? I mean, long shot for sure, I think, but the similarities in dynamic are unmistakable, and how many silver-eyed warriors are there? It's been intimated that it's quite a rare trait, and I don't think it's unreasonable given what we've seen and know of the trait so far to think that it might be a genetic/familial trait.
I guess Iâve seen a fanart about it yesterday. So it looks like people have been thinking about that possibility. But I honestly feel like Maria was Summerâs mentor instead of her mother, and if this is true, we can actually see a young Summer in the flashback of this chapter, which would be amazing.
I have no clue as to how many silver-eyed warriors are out there. But yeah, it looks like itâs a really rare trait. Or maybe it wasnât that rare before but Salemâs pawns wiped them out over the years, and thatâs why it is rare now. And even though itâs a genetic trait, it might still be rare. Otherwise Ozpin wouldnât have surprised much when he saw Ruby for the first time since he knew Summer had silver eyes, too.
