Dark Roads is the long-awaited next book from Chevy Stevens. "Hailey moves in with her aunt and uncle after her father dies in a car accident. Someone unexpected finds her and now they are fighting for their lives." This book was worth the wait. Going to be one of my favorites this year. Vaughan is a character you will hate - a bully - controlling, corrupt and pervy. You hope he gets justice. This is my 2nd book from Stevens with this type of character. Hailey is a character you pull for - even as she steals and lies. You hope she can find her way. The ending is wild - a crazy scene in the mountains - and a killer hiding in plain sight. Great, entertaining read from Stevens.
